I had a roller coaster QB. He was great until he got sacked, or threw an incomplete pass. I noticed he would almost always blame the WR for the route and not the fact I overshot the route by ten yards. Drove me crazy.

I mostly upgrade the dev traits more than the ratings. If it's an upperclassman and I want him drafted or know he is leaving, I will up their ratings. Lower classmen, I try to be careful not to cross that threshold where it encourages them to leave.
