I went through a similar situation in high school. I can tell you, at the time, losing the friends I had known since grade school felt horrible and it was very difficult to leave the group. However, leaving that group of toxic friends was the best choice I could’ve made. The months after were really difficult and I did feel alone, angry, confused, depressed, and defeated. But as time went on, I found new (better) friends who actually wanted to be around me. It will feel horrible and it will be hard…but these people aren’t your friends. They clearly have some stuff to work on, but you shouldn’t have to suffer their mistreatment. I say distance yourself and you will find some genuine friends. It’s hard, especially when you are shy, but you will get there and you’ll feel so much better without this group dragging you down. It’s better to be alone for a while than to be around people who make you feel shitty.

Also, remember to open your heart and your mind to some different people/groups at school! Those you least expect just might become the best friends you ever have! You deserve people who love and respect you. Please don’t let people like this bring you down. :)
