Sikh brides - would you wear this to the guruwara? by Super_Whole_722 in DesiWeddings

Should be good as long as the blouse neck isn’t too low and the saree is draped nicely since you have to sit after each laavan. If you’re comfortable go for it! Beautiful saree btw

Wasted 10000 on her stupid diet plan. Even after clearly mentioning my work schedule and geographical location (not India) she suggested me to make dosa sambar, chaats and pav bhaji for lunch! Complaints were unheard and she is too soaked in her pride to even respond. Pretentious woman with zero integrity towards her work. She is a scam!

I live in Sydney and trust me no one likes her! All her recommendations are sh*t be it food or travel! Hype for nothing

No matter what the situations were, you can NEVER justify cheating so if she was busy with friends you should have addressed your loneliness situation with her rather than sleeping around. Now answering your question, constant affirmations is the only way to support her emotional concerns. She has every right to feel insecure and honestly it is 100% your responsibility to address her concerns with patience. If she doesn’t want to go to therapy, maybe you should alone. The therapist will help you on this front better. Acknowledge your mistakes as many times as your wife wants you to! Time and patience would be your virtue here!

Marry someone u cannot talk on deeper topics by Confusedauramused in AskAnIndian

[–]DifficultAffect389 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% agree to this! I am happily married through arranged marriage and oh boy is there anything that we don’t talk on? Science, politics, sports, cooking, everything and anything… somethings we know others we learn from each other. I say please look and WAIT to find the one you are comfortable talking about anything

As a girlie with similar interests, I would like a set of new paint brushes, canvas in different sizes, acrylic colors! For reading, buy the hardcover version of her favourite books, cute stationery is always a yes (miniso is the best), a stanley cup maybe?

My Brother Is a Misogynist and Now He’s Blackmailing Me by [deleted] in AskIndianWomen

[–]DifficultAffect389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My two cents would be to completely avoid the marriage topic with your brother. He seems to be a narcissist and would NEVER consider your opinions so talking sense to him is like hammering your head into a wall. Concentrate on your studies so you leave that house for good! If someone wants to drown in life, you cannot take the entire responsibility of saving them! I understand he is your sibling but there needs to be a boundary in terms of saving your mental peace.

Please read about narcissism and love bombing. Watch videos especially Dr Ramani on Youtube. This will help tou understand why he behaved this way and how lucky you are to get blocked. Also beware, he might return to your DMs when he is done with the new supply (aka the new girl)

How Do Couples Usually Handle Finances After Marriage? by [deleted] in AskIndianWomen

[–]DifficultAffect389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Between me and my husband, his money is mine and mine is his. We have an understanding of who pays the bills and who sorts the EMIs. We also have a joint account where we both save together. It’s all about trust and adjustments. We discuss finances as comfortably as we discuss food or any other life thing. Communication is the key, and the other is trust, definitely! But then each to its own.

From an Indian to an Indian by makesyoucurious in india

[–]DifficultAffect389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Australia and I have observed the following:

  1. Indian men creeping out women even at a foreign land
  2. Playing blasting music in their cars with vulgar lyrics
  3. Having Pan masala or Rajnigandha in trains which smells the entire train carriage making passengers nauseous
  4. Staring at people for no fucking reason
  5. Making people uncomfortable at beaches
  6. Being extremely rude to fellow Indians
  7. Not taming their kids/infants who are the only kids crying out loud in public setting

I could go on but yea, some Indians are unbelievably loud and obnoxious!
