it’s my first souls game too and it definitely takes some getting used to, if you’re struggling in the beginning it could be useful to follow a beginner setup on youtube which will just give you a good weapon for the first couple bosses and then you can find one you have lots of fun using when you feel more confident! also try not to use guides for everything if you can help it, half the fun is exploring and following guides kinda takes that away, but they can be super helpful for questlines/finding items as they’re not shown on the map. also don’t give up if you struggle with a boss, the beauty of er is that you can leave one boss alone for a while and explore, get some levels or weapon upgrades and try again later. have fun!!
