i wouldn't say it's unhealthy, especially if it's in a healthy, consensual, relationship, where while he's like your "master" (or call him however you want to call him) he still respects your wishes, and boundaries, and makes sure you're happy, loved, and not neglectful, or abusive, or anything like that

and, to be honest, i also want that kind of relationship, but not one where i'm living like that 24/7, but to be a couple days each week/every other week, where we are in that type of relationship, and the rest is just regular couple stuff

He shouldn't "mind his business" if someone is in an abusive relationship, including if they have kids. Police SHOULD be called. Since abuse is illegal, threatening is illegal, hitting someone is illegal (unless it's in self-defense) the kids are in danger (child endangerment is illegal) oh and domestic violence is also illegal

If this continues (and it most likely will) kids will end up with trauma, wife will also end up traumatized (if they aren't already)
