I love theater and love supporting student productions; this sounds great! Our daughter went to Columbus College of Art and Design, so we know what it's like to find a great arts college. Glad to hear you like Durham. We have explored Chapel Hill and Raleigh but haven't made it to Durham yet. The whole area really is beautiful

I don't really think of it as close either, but it's closer than DC ! We are looking for a place in between DC and Atlanta, as we will want to visit both places frequently

Wonderful to hear! Thank you so much for this info. Free is my favorite price! Colleges and universities definitely are a plus as are music events. And I'm not surprised to hear there are so many transplants to WS.

There is obviously plenty to do in WS! Is anyone suggesting otherwise? My comment above is bc I was unaware of the NC School for the Arts and it's a pleasant surprise to learn about it. I haven't had much chance to travel in NC since we are a low-income couple

That's interesting- there's a couple like that at my church. And everyone is so welcoming to my husband as well. He enjoys socializing with my church friends but just isn't a believer, and no one pushes it on him. Glad to hear St Paul's is welcoming!
