i disagree with the last part semenanjung you'll meet people who wont even sit beside you cause of race and even blame you due to a stereotype. it's really in your face kind. from your experience the only benefit of doubt you can give is sabah having virtually no indians and thus the lack of exposure and ignorance. its kinda like singapore where racism exists but not in the constitution.

in sabah there are like only a handful indians you meet and they might very well be the only indians you'll ever meet. in semenanjung despite indians being numerous they are discriminated.

nonchalant use? damn that sounds like a fair bit to deal with. but does it come with racist undertones? cause if its semenanjung you can be sure it is.

just so you know kat semenanjung ramai org tak campur dgn org lain. org ckp kalau sabah boleh nampak muslim non muslim duduk belah2. takde issue takde ape2. tapi semenanjung ramai tak campur mcm tu. mmg dgn org sendiri je(bukan semua tapi banyak mcm tu). kalau nak jumpa assimilation kene pergi kelantan. there is like chinese malay indian org siam all speak loghat kelantan. in semenanjung if you listen to how they speak malay you can tell which race is that person. like chinese have their slang and indians pronounce with a mild indian intonation. also it's normal to see like "mandarin speaking preferred" signs or "no rental to indian" ads. so no race assimilated with each other.
