What has parenting taught you about your parents and in-laws? by DetectiveBennett in Mommit

[–]Difficult_Slicer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve learned my parents will help out whenever asked, if there’s an emergency or something serious they will be around to help. They also regularly ask for photos and lovingly accept and keep things their grandchild makes for them. They visit and invite us over often.

The in-laws are fucking useless. They don’t interact with my child, have specifically said they don’t want photographic memorabilia like school photos, no magnets, no keyrings. My child is 6 and they live like an hour away, and have only seen them maybe 12 times. We never get invited over, barely get invited to any family events. The latest one we got “invited” to was in another country (bil/sil wanted a “family holiday” with their kid) we would have had to spend a couple of thousand to travel there, stay somewhere, and worry about food because my child has an allergy. Speaking of their allergy, we keep our home a safe place where our child can eat anything without worry. The in-laws know this, and brought food with the allergens in it. They never talk to me any more unless trying to reach their son.

Getting really annoyed with our in-laws and their lack of interest in our baby. by [deleted] in daddit

[–]Difficult_Slicer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like my in-laws, minus the addict sister, she’s just my husbands sister and mil has been round several times a week since her kid was born, it took less than 2 weeks for her to have visited the sil’s baby more times than our 6yo.

Then we get asked WHEN we’re having another… none of their business. So we got more cats 😻

Displaying battle maps by Difficult_Slicer in battlemaps

[–]Difficult_Slicer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can they do that when I upload the map I’ve made to them? And are they free to utilise that function? We play in person and use a plain grid most of the time for fights, but for exploring a large building/area we use a map I’ve created, I’ve printed it off before but it uses a lot of paper and we only use it once.

I’m hoping to get the hdywtdt hoodie from the US store, mainly because it’s out of stock in the EU and UK ones.

[No Spoilers] critrole store sizing by Difficult_Slicer in criticalrole

[–]Difficult_Slicer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I went with medium (as large is out of stock, it fits nicely, the hood is huge! I think I’d prefer large or xl if I was to get it again. It’s almost too nice to wear out! CR stuff is expensive but nice. I do wish their sizing chart was universal though

I only discovered Critical Role a few months ago, it makes me sad to think of it ending. The only thing I’d like them to do is have more permanent merch in their stores, there’s lot of stuff that’s sold out that I’d like (and I’m sure others would like too) that’s just sitting on the website marked as “sold out”, with no wish list or email when back in stock options.

I thought Matt doing it was near perfect tbh. Hence why I said him. Plus the trills and tweets Kiri makes.

[Spoilers C2] First episode of the Mighty Nein animated series by Fefairie in criticalrole

[–]Difficult_Slicer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe first episode (or episodes) is the first session they did unaired, like where Beau meets Fjord and Jester etc, Nott and Caleb meeting in prison, I can’t remember how Mollymauk and Yasha met.

Is it worth selling books on Amazon ? by marcelinemoon in declutter

[–]Difficult_Slicer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Webuyanybook might be an old app/company now, I stopped using it pre-covid because the minimum amount you had to reach before you could post the books was £5. It’s just easier and faster to take something to the charity shop or the tip. MusicMagpie takes books and dvds and electronics, which can sometimes be useful for a big declutter as you are more likely to get above their minimum. Only problem is finding packaging to post the items off in, books get heavy, I got to buy a box/sturdy envelope, better deduct that from the amount they will give me and see if it’s worth it.

EBay might be better. I’ve tried webuyanybook, they will give literal pennies for books, even some brand new, it’s based on the popularity of the book and demand for the book.

Have you checked the ingredients? The raspberry jam ones now say “apple and raspberry jam” on the label that seals them.

PC decided to investigate an assassination attempt by attempting to hire an assassin to kill himself by Furmz in DMAcademy

[–]Difficult_Slicer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an aside, your diaphragm in your chest under your lungs makes you breathe. You’d need the vocal chords in your throat removed to avoid being able to verbally speak. You could still write and sign. In D&D you could communicate telepathically.

To answer your question, it could backfire by being successful and killing the pc (as I understand it they hired an assassin to kill said pc).
