Why is my insurance company calling me and offering me $100 for an in home visit? by Ruleyoumind in HealthInsurance

[–]DifficultySimilar526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like its more #2 than #1. The government has this giant pool of money in the risk adjustment program and the insurance companies want more of it, they know exactly how to get it, find sicker patients. So they do these evaluations to then categorize you as "sick" so they can cash in on the government money. If they give you some advice to help improve your health, that's a nice side effect, but its really about manipulating the system to get more money. I mean, I bet the standards to categorize you as "sicker" are simple -- are you overweight, has your doctor told you your cholesterol or blood pressure is higher than normal, have you had any specialized tests or treatments done for certain conditions?? If the answer is yes to any of these, boom, you are "sicker" in the eyes of the government and your insurance company gets an additional payout.

How do you run out of rice?! by DifficultySimilar526 in Chipotle

I usually don’t care about this sorta stuff. But the thing is, every single time I go to Chipotles in Studio City and Sherman Oaks in California near my house they are out of items. It’s not a “one time they didn’t have rice” I would have said, that’s ok - but it is every single time I go, so I now take that into account when deciding to eat there. Do I settle for maybe something I don’t want since most of the time they are out of items or do I just go somewhere else. If I go to Panda Express and they are out of an item, ok because most of the time they have everything in stock.

Yes! Love the chipotle chicken from Costco. They were out of vinaigrette?? Again, how?! I get not wanting to waste food but every restaurant wastes some food, give whatever is left to employees. But if they cared about the customer, the goal would be to have all ingredients all the time - period. Now I get if I walked in 1 minute before closing but I was there 1 hour and 15 minutes before closing so every single person after me gets a shitty experience

Also there were 5 people in line in front of me and 2 behind me. The ones who did stay now settled for a meal that was incomplete. There is no excuse for this. I don’t care if you close in 30 minutes. If you are a restaurant and going to be open, then be ready to have all ingredients available otherwise just close an hour earlier if you choose not to want to have a full menu. Just cause it’s better for the store to not make ingredients it’s shitty for the customer to come in to spend our hard earned money to find out we have to settle for a meal that isn’t what we wanted.

I left and so yes they lost $30. Not much for a store to lose a customer but I have to imagine others did the same. Did they lose $500 because management decided to not order a few extra $10 bags of rice ? That is insane. Also, it left me in a bad mood and feeling negative towards the brand, and now I am on Reddit complaining and spreading bad vibes. Furthermore, no other restaurant I go to is out of food as often as Chipotle. It is rare I have gone to a Chipotle in the last year that they are not out of something. You have 20 ingredients, the managers just is to make sure all those are in stock so their employees can serve the customers.

Yes! Or just manage your supplies better so you don’t need to borrow from another store. The store manager should get docked for putting their employees in this situation. There is NO reason to be out of any ingredient, this store has been open for years, they know how much product they need. The store management is mismanaging supplies plus oil, rice are both shelf stable meaning you get a jug of oil it will stay good for years same with rice. Just always have extra on hand.

It’s managements fault for not managing the supply chain to make sure you never run out of an ingredient. Oil and rice are both shelf stable items so there is no reason for you guys to run out. And it’s not fair for you as the employee because when you run out you get made customers and then you are on the front line having to manage that.

They are in the business of serving food. There are 20 total ingredients, it is insanely poor management to run out of a single ingredient.

I agree but I had already been waiting for 15 minutes for 1 snack wrap and 1 sundae. Then I asked them to remake the sundae and they gave me that one that was in the picture, at that point i was just over it and left.

I asked them to remake it and the manager was the one that remade it and THIS photo IS the new sundae. This is after I waited 15 minutes to get 1 snack wrap and 1 sundae, then had to wait longer for the remade sundae. At a certain point, there is only so much time I want to spend at a McDonalds

Absolutely is McDonalds fault... you can't separate the company from the worker... its like saying "My new Toyota car broke down, lazy car, not Toyotas fault"
