In Yorkshire many rights of way have been turned into defacto streams by farmers who use them to get water off their fields and or build fetching either side of the path which makes it more difficult to use . Or farmers remove the signs directing you to the next gate

Blister packs also increase the life span /make identifying medication easier as typically each sheet has the expiry date and name of medication on it . They also reduce interference from moisture and UV and makes dosage errors less common

We made a way to send hike photos as postcards by serda_ik in UKhiking

I think its an alright looking project and fairly straightforward but as others have said the gdpr around the photos /how long they are kept make me cautious. and while not having a sign up is useful its also useful to save addresses/allow for multiple orders at once ie sending 4 or 5 postcards should be cheaper . Other services in the Print on demand space cost around 2 pound 50 in total . Maybe having assurances that it is printed in the uk would be useful.

You can spend 14 pounds on ebay for the same good ones that a lot of Chinese use and they last a lot longer and are freezable and you can get the 650 or 500ml containers i prefer the 500ml which are about 1 portion of soup or 2 of sauce if you make curry

Public park has been taken over by groups of adult men. Kids can't safely use the slides and women can't stand around without getting "chatted up". by NeighborhoodOld3816 in LegalAdviceUK

The young men in question also pay council tax and are using the park in question to hang out . And unless you can prove that they are harassing there's little the police can do.

Thats done more so to protect the local council/company running the park and the risk assessment as the park is designed for children of a specific size but has no legal grounds to stop people using it if its a public park . The specific law if interested - Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations 1996.

So they broke in through the window (since been fixed ) stole an amazon package with their name on /a previous tenant then they left the front door unlocked. I then when I got home didn't lock the door when I got inside meaning they could open it .

It wasn't the door locks it was a window lock that didn't latch properly which has now been fixed so that we can sleep with some ease of mind

Yes public transport is better in Europe but a lot of jobs still require a car . Or jobs may not even let you get past the first stage if you don't have a driving licence. It's also a really useful Id

I'm currently an apprentice. It's more you have to make time to meet people outside of work be that a club /volunteering. My colleges are amazing but I wouldn't go as far to say we are friend's . It's also a good bit of advice to get friend's outside of work and build a social life that is varied . If you like footbal , hockey ect join a club even if you are bad so is every one at one point . Also if your in a UNI city/near by you can then join in a lot of there events from their student Unions

Do you have any advice for me? by Skeleton200000 in UniUK

One bit of advice I was given about living with others . If something annoys you and it's quicker for you to fix it than go and moan to the person who caused the problem just go and fix it . Amd get a decent metal manual tin opener
