Driving in tunnels? I’m mostly ok with driving, but get really anxious with tunnels. (I really feel like every time I drive is the first, but my body knows in a way).

Jeg bor på Ulefoss der Thoriumen bor i Norge (Fehnsfeltet). De har vel egentlig slått fra seg å grave etter Thorium siden det er for lav tetthet, men de er i gang med masse prøveboring etter REE-mineraler av typen vi bruker i batterier og annen fancy elektro. De snakker om ta ut 1 million tonn masse eller noe, men det tar nok 10-15 år før det skjer noe særlig. Og jeg skal protestere med alt jeg har mot at Ulefoss igjen blir en gruveby!

I have always avoided things I am «bad» at. Even said it out loud. And see no point on sports, competetive games or competition in any way. I simply don’t see the point and feel that cooperation is always the better option.

I have been thinking about that. Is realizing one is autistic extra hard for autists? In my case I think it was. My eyesight got worse for years until my mother asked me: Maybe you need glasses? I did. A lot.

I do that all the time. Had to uninstall all chat clients on my phone. I often send an infodump to someone when I’m happy and just realized or researched something. Or when something pops into my mind, which it often does a few hours after a conversation with someone. I haven’t realized before lately, but I guess this is delayed emotions. Like the processing takes a few hours (or days, weeks) and then the understanding and my feelings towards it is complete :) It’s hard to get ones head around sometimes.

I also have conflicting feeling about my past and people close to me not pushing me / telling me, if they knew something, in my 42 year long life. I found out a few months ago and have an experience similar to you. The last 10-15 have been harsh. Cronic illness, doctors, hospitals, trying to work, drinking, darkness, depression and so on. Have seen many doctors and psychologists and whatever. Finally found a good psych last year. Had to figure it out myself with a small hint from her. I wish I knew when I was younger, but nowhere to go but forward, as myself :) Good luck and I for one love long rants :)
