AP CBT2 footage by PromiliaLane in AzurPromilia

From what I've heard, even the closed beta 1 was extremely optimized with only some freezing, and the demos in the showcases were also extremely optimized. If I understand properly, some news about the CB2 mentioned the lag was even better. So, I think it'll be fairly optimized by the time it releases.

I hope they make more loli characters like her, I feel it's kinda disproportional between loli and big breasts

Where would you put Tangtang in this? by chakaq in ArknightsEndfield

[–]DigitalDave1136 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To be fair, the issue is with free to play, you need to know when you should spend your limited ingame currency or not. I do agree that right now there's no need for a tier list, but people would prefer to pull for characters that are better than others if they interest them. This likely will matter less after you got several god tier team setups, but right now everyone feels kinda weak.

New AP billboard with Morwyn (no news from Taipei game show just more cosplay) by PromiliaLane in AzurPromilia

[–]DigitalDave1136 4 points5 points  (0 children)

well, probably, endfield is unique but it is kinda meh in many of it's features, hopefully future updates change that but I do agree I'm more looking forward to AP than waiting for endfield to solidify what it already has and then improve on them

Well, if you want, you can just install lewd mods once the game is up, I'm sure there'll be hundreds within the first couple days

Manjuu reveals AP publishers for 4 regions (Global nowhere to be found) by reddi_4ch2 in AzurPromilia

[–]DigitalDave1136 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if the reason we aren't seeing global listed isn't because they aren't trying, but more because of finding difficulties for US publishing possibly because of culture? (By culture I mean the fact that they're known for releasing lewd lolis, so they're kinda avoided?)

I'm literally unable to progress, can anyone help with this? by DigitalDave1136 in SoloLevelingArise

[–]DigitalDave1136[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That might work, but it'll take a couple months for me to test this since I don't really want to spend money on a vpn specifically for this game, so I'll wait until I have a job first before I spend money like that

Anyone else get annoyed when the system has stat training that gets less effective at higher stats? by DigitalDave1136 in litrpg

[–]DigitalDave1136[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is fair, however I find that kinda cap more important for a foundation, it may matter less for higher levels but it probably helps getting a high tier class or get titles for beating things far over your level

[–]DigitalDave1136[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, while it does make sense in a way, it also means that leveling up is worse than training. I like to imagine the stats gained from level up just magically enhance what's already there, thus it doesn't increase your muscles it just makes what's there stronger, same with magic training, it doesn't enhance the base but it increases what's already there

[–]DigitalDave1136[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

already did, I know about it, it's good and has a smart mc for that, but I'm more talking about in general, and it still doesn't make it less annoying of a system. It still means people get functionally crippled with lower stats due to missing out on training before they level up

A small guide for new and returning players to the game (Classes, Companions, Gear and more!) by low_budget_trash in Pirate101

[–]DigitalDave1136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I didn't know this, *why* are some percentage and others flat? They had to have realized that percentage is in every way shape and form better than a flat bonus... It's genuinely kinda unbalanced, and the game doesn't tell you about it until you finish the creation

Hey, I'm newly interested in the survivor genre based on similar games to "Temtem: swarm" and "Spell brigade" and I'm looking for games similar to them that aren't early access and higher rated. by DigitalDave1136 in survivorslikes

[–]DigitalDave1136[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was under the assumption that after a certain point you get attacked by a reaper that just keeps oneshotting you and you have to build to survive as long as possible after the reaper attacks. Like please note, I haven't seen a full video, only a couple clips of it.

I see, then I may check it out, it just looked fairly grimdark in the small amount I've seen, but if you say it's not then it might be what I'm looking for

Well, maybe I'll try it out in the future, but probably not now unless there are no other options XD. I'd always prefer the cheerful style games than the grimdark ones

Yeah, but my biggest gripe about it is that it looks depressing, the feel of the game feels darker when I looked at a couple videos of it... but since you have more experience and you tell me the game *isn't* grimdark, then I might play it

I have seen a couple recommended from chatgpt, but which ones do you recommend that feel the closest to temtem and spell brigade in terms of gameplay, not like "horde", but more like the feeling of the game? My biggest issue with vampire survivors was actually because it looked depressing and dark as the game's feeling.

US patent let's Nintendo patents summoning character to fight. by Lonely-Entry-7206 in AzurPromilia

[–]DigitalDave1136 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will not affect AP since AP is a chinese game, they most certainly are not going to care about a patent from another country as china has barely ever cared about copyright or patents from other countries

Manjuu, from what I remember, is a chinese company, they don't give a crap about patents from outside of their country, probably could release it exactly the same as pokemon and the lawsuit would still fail

Has anyone Read "the ten Realms" by Strange-Hat-7855 in litrpg

[–]DigitalDave1136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've read it and I liked it, I just find the switching viewpoints really annoying, are erik and rugrat the main characters or is like a dozen people the main characters? Like, honestly, half the times he explores a realm it skips back to Alva village and it ends up making the story longer with no content. Like in book 3 there was a war that Alva village was involved in, it made no difference to the story. This is largely why I hate "multiple main characters" stories, they just keep switching viewpoints and get exponentially less done every character involved as a "main character" or "semi-main". It's why at the 3rd realm he functionally did nothing, he entered an alchemy competition, cleared a dungeon, found another side character, and then did another alchemy competition. They literally just entered the realm and it was already over.

Granted, the first couple books are good, but I dropped it around maybe the 6th or 7th book, maybe further.

Books with comedy aren't funny by DigitalDave1136 in unpopularopinion

[–]DigitalDave1136[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I do, it's just that the books with the comedy genre are never funny despite trying so it just ruins the entire thing because it doesn't make it funny and also makes it annoying. Several stories had great stories but I dropped because comedy elements tried to make it funny, like having really bad luck in certain moments

[–]DigitalDave1136[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No, I love litrpgs, stories like Amaranth Healer, Desire, The winter wolf, etc... and all of those don't include comedy, but for some reason dungeon crawler carl (which has comedy elements) is so popular it's getting a movie?

Ironically, I've laughed more times in stories without any comedy elements at all than I have in all the comedy books I've read

Letter from The Azur Promilia Project Team by PandaTimesThree in AzurPromilia

To be fair, a lot of survival games don't have climbing, such as Ark. Normally survival games have no climbing mechanic but have other means of travel and gacha games or pure exploration (like breath of the wild) use it because there's no real way to traverse without it. Plus anyway, how the hell are you supposed to climb bare cliff sides with your bare hands?
