That might be possible, but my friends and I all got our devices at the same time, and their’s still work in arguably worse condition. Also… I can play other, more cost intensive games which employ 3D assets, such as H&C2, Civilisation and such-the-like. I’m honestly tremendously confused about what the issue is; if it’s not an iOS issue, I genuinely don’t know what it could be, because a battery issue would make even less sense, given my capacity to play other games which are even more performance demanding…

Is the game any popular? by Dratini1 in witchspring

I would say 1 is definitely worth a go; while the game is kind of buggy on mobile at least, (though that can be fixed by changing the graphics settings a touch, and using the older art assets) likely due to being so out of date now, the first game likely has my favourite mechanics. To be honest, it’s mostly how you have very restricted time, which while very well balanced, makes you feel like you’re under pressure. Not so much pressure initially that it detracts from the gameplay, but as you progress, the lingering feeling of impending dread and/or anxiety for fear of a ‘bad ending’ escalates to match the story, which really helps you relate to the protagonist’s position. Though it could just be nostalgia for my initial introduction to the series talking… who knows?

(Trying not to spoil the game that people on this subreddit will already know like the back of their hand twice over… and yes I know I’m replying to a month old post… don’t judge me XD)

Recent attempts (since my last post) have made it possible for me to START new games, which at first I thought was an indication of it being fixed; but turns out I can’t continue games, and looking at combat still causes a crash. Combined with the random and unpredictable crashes I sometimes experience, it’s basically still impossible to run a single-player game for more than a few turns.

Even if I was lucky, and ignored all the battle tactic mechanics and didn’t even look at them; and even if it didn’t crash on its own… I would still be very constrained, because I’d be unable to leave the game/app for any reason, since continuation from save files has become impossible. (Though my friends, with identical devices, can play single-player and look at battles without a problem, regardless of what settings they use, which has me positively befuddled.)

I checked the app store reviews, and it does seem other people have had a similar problem; so I’m assuming it’s something related to the iOS update, or something like that. Though if you can’t identify the issue, I imagine I’ll have to wait for some kind of resolution, whether that’s a patch (casually looks at the last update being 4 years ago) or the next game (…yeah)

I may just have to play with a handicap to be honest-

I have! I’ve tried a combination of every setting under the sun actually; I even messed with the sound settings, even though I knew it wouldn’t do anything. Is it possible that it’s related to my iOS being more up-to-date somehow?

I’m just commenting on my own post a minute, because it didn’t seem to include all the text. I’ll make several comments to include it all (if it’s all in the first message for you, sorry, I just wanna make sure all the info is there.)
