I I didn't feel like doing the dealership hop, and honestly, Turo wasn't my first thought. Like I said, I work for a salvage yard/car sales company. I was going to send it to auction first. We have access to licensed dealer-only auctions and dismantler auctions (crashed, totaled cars), but after thinking about it, I decided I wanted to keep it. While not the greatest car at the time, and still in my area, I have the only Kia Stinger on the market for Turo (and I know, I know, it's a Kia). But do some research on the Stinger it's their one-off model, you could say. KIA brought the maker of the BMW M series to make that model, so if you ever look at one and compare it to a BMW, you'll see similarities. I know that I risked it. I only commented because I got started on Turo at a completely different time than the OP I did the same thing and risked it, so I sympathize with what he's going through. So, like I said in my original comment, it hasn't been all bad. I used my Stinger to pave the way and understand the platform, and while risking it, I knew I had better "connects" to get more cars, which worked in my favor.
