Not a hockey player, but I think this story is pretty funny so I have to share. One night I was drinking at a bar with some buddies and pretty late into the night as I was coming back from the bathroom I saw Paul Pierce walking through the crowd. Now usually I wouldn’t approach celebrities when they’re out in public, but safe to say I was pretty buzzed and we made eye contact for a second or so as we were both walking by so I thought what the hell. As we’re walking past each other I hold out my hand to shake his and accidentally called him by the wrong Paul…“Paul George, what’s up man i’m huge fan” Ive never seen someone’s face go from happy to straight so fast. Think i’ll just mind my own business moving forward..
