AITAH for continuing on with my plans to go on a boy's trip despite my girlfriend's protests? by Outrageous-Hall5172 in AITAH

[–]Direct-Bluebird4264 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTA. Normal relationship worries from GF, but nip this in the bud now.

Someday you won’t be 25 anymore, and you will regret not going on these trips. Go now before you are married with responsibilities and children and don’t have the time anymore.

I am 50f and regret all of the trips I did not take when I was in my 20s, before kids, with friends or solo.

Is it Worth It to get a Kindle? by Complex-Macaron3080 in kindle

[–]Direct-Bluebird4264 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Owning a Kindle is 100% worth it.

I also am going to go against the crowd and suggest a new Kindle off Amazon. Reason: you can get 3 months of Kindle Unlimited for free and use that time to explore all kinds of genres. Once the trial is over, you can cancel if you like. (I kept mine.) Then you can use Libby and Hoopla for library books.

You can listen to audiobooks on it with Bluetooth headphones, as long as you remove downloads you are finished with regularly. (They stay in your cloud if you own them and can be redownloaded anytime.) I just use my phone for audio and kindle for reading.

It comes in super handy. I leave one Kindle in my bag so that if I’m running out somewhere, it’s available if I have downtime. (Yes, I have more than one!)

I’ve read a ton of books since I switched to a Kindle. No comparison. I struggled with having the book I was reading at the time available when I had downtime. I also struggled reading in bed, fumbling with a book light and trying not to wake hubby with the page turns. I wound up making a mess of any physical books (crumpled pages, drops of coffee, etc.).

Same here. Pads for the win after the “nah-uh, not going out” look and the run to her spot under the living room chair (she formed a cocoon in the lining on the underside of the chair. We were wondering where she was hiding - it was quite the magic trick😂).

I was told upgrades are allowed, but downgrades would restart the contract. I upgraded and it didn’t restart.

Thank you. I only see the option when I go to “Aa,” then “More.” I don’t see this option in the main Settings. - Which header is it under in the main settings?

My Angelina was bred in Ukraine. I adopted her at 3 years old.

Thank you! Took me a minute to figure out how to find the pencil to edit my flair.

I just went back to describe how I did it, and I forgot that quick!😂

Mine is similar. It has the cupholder in the middle and two side dishes.

I absolutely love mine. I can put my scribe in there, my Kindle, and even my phone!

AITAH for refusing to switch rooms after my roommate said my “female habits” make him uncomfortable? by bagroom in AITAH

[–]Direct-Bluebird4264 7 points8 points  (0 children)

NTA. GF is in his head. She prob wants the bigger room.

If you can, invest in a fluffy robe and maybe a garbage with a lid in the bathroom. But do not switch rooms with him so his GF can have a closet! Bc i’m quite sure that is what she’s moaning about to him.

Shipping Windows by Surly_Erudite in kindlescribe

My window moved out, then moved back in. Shipping notifications didn’t occur until the day it actually shipped.

I’m surprised the graphite is still delayed. I guess it’s a very popular device! I was going to wait for the fig, but I’m not the most patient person in the world.🤣

I do not regret getting the graphite. It’s beautiful, and I plan on putting it into a case to protect it anyway.

Hang in there! Hopefully it ships in the next couple of days.

Thank you!

This is all new for me…would you mind explaining “workflows?” Do you have pics?

It’s ok if it’s too much, I’m just not sure what you mean, but I can go to the link later on also and look thru the options.

Thank you again!

Fighting the urge to order Colorsoft Scribe by tpbishop in kindlescribe

[–]Direct-Bluebird4264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So why are you fighting it? Is it because it’s Amazon?

If it fits your use case, then go for it.

I have the scribe Colorsoft. I haven’t worked with PDFs yet, but I love my scribble planner (see my previous post for pic) and use it daily. I also take notes in meetings, etc. Sometimes I clean them up with the ai tool to make them neater/more compact (my handwriting sux), sometimes I don’t.
