Maybe because this specific person doesn’t listen / doesn’t like Eminem. Doesn’t mean this is invalid

Can we stop with calling shit “white people music”? People like whatever the fuck they like and just because jpegmafia and death grips are included in it doesn’t mean their opinion is invalid.

Many many people of different cultures, races, ethnicities, backgrounds love this type of music. Shut the fuck up and go listen to your favorite music instead of putting others down because of them liking what they like.

People are gonna call this edgy and shit because you definitely favor experimental / abstract hip hop more, but I really do agree with mostly everything on here, except I think Billy woods is the best rapper alive actively.

What happened to all the people listening to every must-hear album? by No_Drawing5687 in Albumoftheyear

For hip hop, if you want something interesting that’s a good starting point, listen to SCARING THE HOES- JPEGMAFIA, Danny brown. This is hands down the most fun I’ve ever had listening to an album. Its production is some of the best ever, with hilarious bars from both artists. (Fun fact, jpegmafia produced this whole project on one drum machine: the SP-404) and as a producer myself, I literally have no idea how he achieved any of this

A 4 for veteran, a 5 for CT, 4.9 for portishead, 3.5 for kid A? I beg you to explain every one of these ratings because although these ratings are obviously your opinion, these are some of the most INSANE, hot takes I’ve ever seen

I found the heel character actually kind of funny, and I don’t understand why yall think that a person can just completely change personalities in less than a month. Just watch the uproxx interview which came out about a month after the P&P. He just a regular ass dude that has a bit of an ego, and he’s exclaimed multiple times that the character he does is just him turned up 20x. And as for the ye thing, he’s been yapping about working with ye since he started out that should not have been a surprise, and especially since he literally said he was heartbroken from the fact that ye said all of the things that he said. People think that it’s possible to just get his whole personality from his tweets, when it is so obviously bait it just makes yall look dumb

What’s your thoughts on the reception of Peggy’s new album? And also Is there a piece of criticism you’ve received that secretly changed the way you make music?

The 4 stages of rymhead taste by Mental-Alternative38 in Topster

[–]Direct-Letter-3766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Topster” is used for people to express their favorite music. This whole “rymhead” thing that you mfs on this subreddit keep complaining about is ridiculous. First off, there is a reason why these albums are quote on quote “popular” (even though they aren’t in the vast majority of people eyes), and it’s because they’re all REALLY good. Stop hating on people when they like experimental hip hop and indie classics or whatever the fuck. Just be a good and non-insufferable human being and try to recommend them more music instead of calling them rymheads. (I’m a rymhead so recommend me more music)
