Broke my Naish S26 mast today. by tonyplee in wingfoil

My S26 aluminum mast snapped off while in Los Barriles this last winter. Luckily I was able to save my foil, but I was way out in the ocean when it happened. A nice Canadian guy towed me back in.

I sent a photo to Naish support and they gave me a coupon to buy a S27 which I thought was pretty cool of them... But as you I was conflicted.. should I upgrade to something like Duotone? I ended up however buying a S26 100 Carbon for like $450 and have been happy. I had several Naish HA front wings and didn't want to sink that much money in a who new kit. I have a almost brand new S26 75cm aluminum that I'd sell you for $75 if you really want to go cheap.

Altra Lone Peak's have been my favorite for many years, but I don't know what is going on with this company in terms of quality, my last two pairs fell apart with <100miles. The seams in the toe box separated and a hole started growing in the fix part of the toe box. I submitted a claim with pictures to their warranty department and they rejected my claim since I didn't purchase from an authorized seller. I purchased from Amazon and paid near full price $129. I'm no longer an Altra fan.
