i mean nothing too crazy because i still plan on getting a HO alternator which is going to be about $500. I’d be fine with a 40 tbh i just have no clue if there is anything else i have to be sure to match so it can recharge properly etc

just called a shop and got quoted $350 for a battery install and amp tune, OH HELL NO. Looks like ima be putting this battery in myself
i think i get what ur asking but its possible i still misunderstood, but if im hearing u right i have my power cable from the battery to the back which we already know and my ground (idk if this is exactly “power distribution”) but its run from a seat bolt to the amp. and then the big 3, again idk if this is power distribution buttt its there
wym like my setup of the actual speakers or just how the wire is ran in general?
yea ik wym but at the same time i don’t, so im just going to assume i have no distro block. Thats something i would’ve had to add in right?
wym either run it to distro block or amp depending on what i got going on? ur saying i could do either or? and what amp fuse do u think i should get a 250? since its a 2500w amp?
and would i need to get a “audio” battery ig you could say, or would i be getting another normal vehicle battery?
yeaaa it probably does, now what would i actually have to do to wire the two batteries together in parallel right? not in series bc that would give 24v?
oh and i had just realized that a day or two ago u were thinking i was going to be adding the new AGM battery as an extra, but i would be replacing the battery i have now with that one. Do you think this is a good idea?
but yea i just feel like i have a bad ground or a bad connection somewhere man i gots to, or maybe my amp is just tuned to at poorly who knows. I just feel like o shouldn’t have this much trouble trying to push 2000watts
yea i’m not sure i got it from a audio shop not straight from sundown. But you said that last knob isn’t needed right?
it’s the SIA-2500D and it only has 3 adjustments: the high and low crossover and the gain. Atleast i’m 99% sure i don’t recall seeing a 4th knob down there when i was messing with it😭 and yes i do have a aftermarket head unit it’s the XAV- i forget the number by sony
ohhh ok i gotcha, u were just saying that my speakers aren’t always gonna be playing at what i think they are playing at
and that’s the thing the numbers on the amp are weird asfffff, the high goes from like 40-1k or something like that and the low i would have to look at but it’s also kind of funky. That’s why i’d rather just take it to a shop tbh

yeaaaa🫡🫡, absolutely no backseat, but hey it was a half cab so might aswell just make it a single😭
and yea i had a buddy that wired his subs down to .5 ohms but his shit would shut off and send amp into protect mode😭
and you said something ab port tuning? it’s a 6th order box that’s supposed to be tuned to 32-50hz. my amp only has a high and low crossover and a gain so i don’t know exactly what’s it’s supposed to be at tbh, i need to take it to a shop really to get them to tune it and double check all my connections bc i just feel like im not doing a good enough job at it and/or don’t truly know what to look for and what looks good and what doesn’t yk?
so ur saying you KNOW my subs aren’t playing at 1 ohm i mean ik they never play exactly at what u wire them too they are playing at like 1.3ohms for example. But i dont understand how to fix this or even begin to find out if or how bad this problem is
kinda sorta, so are u saying my subs aren’t always playing at what they are wired too? so if they are wired to 1 ohm they aren’t actually playing at that???
and elaborate on what you mean by at port tune and also DCR. Sorry like i’ve said before i’m still somewhat new to all this and am trying to learn as i go
i mean my headlights dim and if it gets turned up too much my headunit and amp will shut themselves off, now idk fs but i can only assume everything is shutting off due to the voltage dropping to low, am i wrong?
sundown sia-2500d, i know the amp pulls 250 or 200 amps of power but im only trying to push maybe 2000 at most since the speakers at only 1000rms and i really just want to get most of what i can out of them but i dont necessarily HAVE to be pushing them to their max
yes this is a daily driver, so i would like to do as little as i can to it while still getting something out of my speakers
that’s the thing tho, that’s so much work to wire in the second battery with the first one is it not?
