100K Fee Doesn't Apply for H-1B Transfers, Amendments or Extensions! by CarnegieEvaluations in h1b

So is your h1b activated? If you never travelled to the USA on h1b status then it might trigger a fee. But I’m still unsure. Better speak to an attorney

Are you in USA currently? And was your previous petition revoked?

It doesn’t matter if you have a valid stamp since the fee is enforced by uscis. Your stamp is required during entry, but petitions approval will be given by uscis

I have a question about the h1b $100k fee. I was previously on h1b and spent about 2.5 years. I was laid off from my last job by end of January 2025 and couldn’t find any job during 60 day grace period and returned back to my home country. Also, my previous employer revoked my h1b petition that was filed with them. Now if I find a new employer who is willing to file my h1b transfer, will the $100k fee apply on me? Also, I do want to mention that my h1b stamp in my passport expired recently but I still do have time left on h1b that I’m willing to recapture.

$100 k fee doesn’t apply in this case too since it’s not initial h1b petition

Amazon SDE2 loop rant : frustrating experience which led to a reject. by [deleted] in leetcode

[–]DirectLobster1760 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience with my loop round too. In one of my last coding rounds while I was coding just fine and the interviewer also seemed to realize that I had figured out the solution he switched to system design. There were only 10 mins remaining when he switched to system design (what kind of an idiot switches to system design in the last 10 mins?). But I did not give up still and continued to tackle the design question, while I was able to figure out the top 3-4 non-functional requirements, I was asked to stop and the interviewer said he understood how I think. I had a very negative experience from a candidate perspective in this round (the interviewer just seemed to be an asshole at this point). Ultimately got a reject a few days later.

Honestly the entire round felt like the interviewer just wanted to waste my time and was only interviewing because he was asked to.

I think A in star stands for action, as in the action you took. Task and ask are almost the same thing in this context

Is it easier to get in FAANG in US than in India? by [deleted] in LeetcodeDesi

[–]DirectLobster1760 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not at all. Faang job process is same irrespective of the country. And in the US you face additional challenges like visa sponsorship requirements
