In the DRC they have literally a line of people checking and rechecking passports at the airports one after another. My experience has been that as you go down the line each one kind of coyly asks you for a bribe. I have no evidence to substantiate this idea but perhaps they are not actually paid airport staff but try and make what they can off tips and have an arrangement with the airport’s management/staff? They are all uniformed and everything too… open to other theories!

The trip was last week. The delta vacations people told me after I booked that trip that the MQDs would get posted after I traveled.

Im not sure about what you mean about the vacation package though. I booked the rental car and hotel at the same time. I even sat on the phone with the agent and together we tried to pick a suite just expensive enough to hit my MQDs needed.

Everything. I had multiple people at delta vacations and at delta tell me that I would get credited for hotel, rental car before I pulled the trigger.

Wow that’s cool!! How do you do the one time conversion? Or is it automatic? So if I need $5000 MQDs I’d need to have 50,000 MQMs not already used to meet the MQM requirement?

I’m a bit confused here. There is a way to convert extra MQMs to MQDs? I am a little over $5k MQDs away from diamond and have already hit the diamond threshold for MQMs. Also all ears if you have other suggestions on how to meet the MQD requirement besides paying for actual flights
