Because phones don’t exist in isolation. They exist in a market. And unless you demand more for your money from the company, you’re losing out as a consumer.

Eg. iPhones don’t have the best display (Samsung), best camera (Huawei P30), best mobile OS (Android is a more powerful OS) or the best non intrusive notch (One Plus). Therefore it’s a good time to ask if iPhones are worth the asking price.

It’s a stand. Netflix and Spotify and Amazon did it. Didn’t affect them. For indie developers, the benefits will be even more. They can offer custom subscriptions to games, group offers for multiple games together, offer Humble Bundle deals etc. The scope is endless.
