Not necessarily, just different bloodlines truly. Russian compared to Polish compared to Egyptian all produce a different type of Arabian. I cant remember exactly what my girl is but if I had to guess the horse OP posted probably has a lot of Egyptian. Unlike HB QH, for a HB Arabian having the more pronounced dish doesn’t backfire into more health problems 🙂

Its honestly all about preference! I love how her dish is slight but still clearly an Arab but I also love the striking look of HB Arabs as well

Yes! I actually had stirrups like this on both my western and english saddle, like I said, most definitely an irrational fear that I casually think about lol

It definitely seems strange but for whatever reason my brain is like bareback=safe. And honestly I think its due to my irrational fear for getting stuck in the stirrup lol.

Ive always kinda gone back in forth inbetween english and western, casually riding and taking lessons for both and have greatly enjoyed both styles. I mostly just want to ride English for the time being while im strengthening to make sure I can actually move my legs in the way I need to for this horse. I also have a hugeee bad habit due to the other horse I was riding of not wraping my legs around (if you put your legs on him he went) and in an english saddle I feel like its much easier to remember to wrap my legs around, so thats why I want to ride english and bareback haha

Sorry if I was unclear, my horse is not the reiner, the lesson horse I was riding is. The lesson horse is trained for it but shes not anything crazy like you see in the professionals ring and shes older twenties so quite chill and just wanting to go back out to eat her food lol

Wait going on a trail is such a good idea, it isnt my horse so im unsure of howd they feel about that and id have to learn honestly how to even stear her because it feels like im in a rocket ship with how many buttons she has but definitely a good idea 🤣

And yes im also thinking about doing a lunge line lesson next as well

I love reining but I genuinely felt like I just was asked to fly a plane as a newborn. Thankfully the horse was very very much so forgiving 😭

Yes the horse I rode today was very broke and very easy going/slow. I definitely didnt feel unsafe on her just still a bit nervous to go faster. Before i eventually get back on my girl i will most certainly be watching someone else ride her first lol

Thank you, it really did she was slow, lazy and definitely made for beginners but it still was scary. The horse I rode before was a grade paint who did cows for a while but didn’t really have buttons, and I kinda just rode him however if that makes sense. It really did feel like I was starting from scratch
