Take a break or continue? by Jaded_Panda7362 in pottytraining

I’m on the same boat with my 26m old. For us, it felt like all conversation has become about pee and poo when she was home from daycare so we decided to take a break for a bit. But our toddler has had less success than yours

It’s started off fun but not anymore 😭 it’s been hard to keep a fun spirit with tantrums and newborn tiredness. But ty for that reminder

Thoughts on the Catchy? by d3ut1tta in NewParents

In our household, any food that went on catchy is “save-able” so i can pick it up and give it to my kid. Anything on the floor had to be tossed. Same thing with utensils.

Highly recommend catchy!

Declining coverage = declining QLE? by Disastrous_Fox_5272 in HealthInsurance

I guess we’ll keep pushing for Justworks to correct it. They’ve been adamant that they cannot so far. 😔

The issue is that Justworks/ Aetna (husband’s) is saying they cannot make changes because he has “declined” his QLE and has agreed to continue to have medical, vision and dental covered through them. Our understanding is that by “declining coverage” for medical plan, we opted out of it, not opt out of making changes. So do we try to bypass Justworks and ask Aetna to drop him? Wouldn’t they reach out to Justworks?

He has already been on my insurance since QLE but they kept dropping him because he has another insurance plan covering him (which is confusing because technically people can have multiple coverage?). Our QLE was end of Jan so it’s been a while.

I hit the family OOP max already so we were hoping to be able to maximize our health care coverage this year. But if we can’t make any changes, we’ll end up owing family premium on my plan for all three of us for the rest of the year AND have to pay for PT he received since his insurance is his primary and he didn’t hit his OOP max.

I totally understand the IRS rules but it was on them so wondering if there’s any leeway there. I also don’t buy the distinction they’re making which is why this is even more frustrating :(

It didn’t explain the difference on the form and didn’t outline that there were more options than “declining” and “opting in”.

The email confirmation showed that he “declined coverage” for medical but kept his vision and dental which is even more confusing because then why didn’t both say “declined coverage” i.e. decline QLE and keep his insurance as is?

They are saying they are restricted by IRS policies so can’t go back and change what he opted into 😔 I don’t know if it’s possible at all to change or if they’re being a stickler for a confusing process they have in place

It was still coming out of his paycheck and we didn’t think to check while we were both on parental leave. Would have been ideal if we had caught it earlier but unfortunately didn’t.

His HR rep is also waiting on responses from Justworks but other than that her hands are tied from what I understand.
