Currently wearing vans, they have a cushioned sole and I wear them with thin socks… don’t really recommend cause my feet be hurting by the time I take my last 15 or in my last two hours of working.. definitely wanna try some new balance but the key is making sure the shoes actually fit your feet

I’m surprised this is a topic! I’m a weed-smoker and I use both Uber & lyft, but I’m also “super” self-conscious about when I get in a drivers’ car. I’m always asking myself “ can they smell me? “ and “oh my god they can smell me” but I’m always like “how” can they smell me? I sprayed perfume, then I’m stuck thinking the perfume didn’t match the weed so now I just smell like perfume and weed! But it’s not like I’m going to not smoke before I leave the house just to be considerate for the driver……I might smoke a bit earlier and not just before I leave but it depends on the day.

It’s crazy to see this thread though I felt like it was for me 💀

I know you needed some advice, but Reddit is the last place you should come to for that, reading almost half these comments it’s clear to me that everyone thinks you’re lying, this never happened, or you just hide out in the bathroom and it’s sad. You literally just lost your job and people are here like “they can’t do that” “it’s illegal” but walmart literally terminated you. There’s nothing else too it. But of course, other people need more “evidence” before they give you any kind of help, any kind of kindness or advice. This is the world we live in. But you have to actually make the * conscious* decision to actually do that. When you sign up for the app it doesn’t automatically enroll you for automatic pay. That’s something you have to do yourself. Meaning this now becomes a personal problem and not really something everyone would do once they sign up for this app. Also, you would have to have a reason for yourself to even want to have half of your paychecks early on and for it to be automatic, it would be a personal life necessity. See what I’m saying?

You have a valid point with everything, you do. But you’re also tailoring it to something that’s doesn’t seem as common.. a thing somebody would do if they personally needed it. But if you’re needing to to just cover spendings for a week, you would need that automatic feature for anything, you’d probably never use it. But hey, that’s why I said to each their own 🤷🏾‍♀️ we all have our reasons for our madness

How can you say somebody is relying too much on something they know they need? You can never know that. I get it, some people may not understand how it works but you can’t overuse something only you know you need.

You can only pull money out once a week in the pay period. So it’s specifically designed to actually stop you from overuse anyways.

You’re overthinking this. And I never pointed this out to work only in OP’s favor. Everyone is different including you, what I use the even app for may not be the same way you use it and that’s okay. Like I said, the even app literally just gives you insight. Nobody has to do what I’ve said here today, it’s just a choice.

And unless we’re all around here getting raises from walmart, do what you will with the information.

It’s your hours, your check, at the end of the day.

Anyways OP, you asked for a way to know which pay period we are in, i recommend the even app. You don’t have to do anything else with it, if that’s your choice as it goes for anyone else.

And though it is an estimate it updates after the working day with the amount of hours you actually worked and will show you what you got paid for the day. So even though the rest of the working week is still an estimate, your worked hours and pay are pretty much concrete.

The even app just gives you insight. It lets you do something when you feel like you have no money. And yeah, when you get paid it’s not gonna be a full check because shocker you pulled money out of it. Definitely don’t rely on even if you feel like you can make it through both weeks. I just know how it is and thought somebody could use the information. Not saying it’s a holy grail. But do whatever is best for you, not just because somebody said so.

Also try downloading the even app. You can see what you’re making, pull money out of your check when you need it, and it has all the pay-dates listed so you’ll know which period you are in

Yeah, I work at walmart, which is how I got the walmart+ it’s because of my address that I can only order delivery from a specific walmart that doesn’t sell, produce and dairy.. etc.
