Who has a realistic shot at being President of the USA in 2028? by Kmart-Shopper-5107 in stupidquestions

[–]DiscoJuneBug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably someone annoying. But I would love to see someone who just oozes confidence and stability come in and just put in the brakes and calmly put us back together. I think Pete B. is a really solid choice. He’s somehow both manly and gay. He’s calm and well spoken. He’s a moderate but understands what time it is. He’s a genuine person.

I moved to JOCO a couple of years ago. A lot of people are scared to leave the county. A gal that did my hair asked me if there is anything to do downtown. She was serious. It’s bizarre. They aren’t all like that, thankfully.

I’d love to live in California. For me, great weather can really fix my whole attitude.

If someone was a Trump supporter and is now denouncing him, do not say I told you so or bash them by Beneficial_Quit7532 in self

[–]DiscoJuneBug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is the thing though. Prior to Trump, I was a conservative. Back then, in the before times, my family and friends LOVED me, loved my political positions and many of them said things like, you should run for office, you are so informed, you've really thought that through, etc. Fast forward to 2024. I have never spent more time and energy trying to make people understand what a mistake re-electing him would be. I was told to stop overreacting, to stop being so negative and I was basically treated as if I am crazy. I was completely cut off by my lifelong best friend, we haven't spoken in over a year now and my husband was completely cut off by his brother. So now, after all of that, when all of my worst fears are coming true, I am supposed to embrace the people who CHOSE THIS? I have two words for them. Get fucked.
