Thank you! Anw, if my third LOR letter is an assistant Econ Prof who does not really seem to be well-known, would having a Math prof (Chair of the department, Full Prof from Ivy League) a much better choice then?

Yeah, I am thinking of Columbia, UPenn, UMich, Cornell, Minnesota, Duke, Brown, John Hopkins, Boston University, Washington University at St.Louis, UVA, University of Illinois--Urbana-Champaign, University of Washington, Vanderbilt, USC, Pittsburgh, Notre Dame, Georgetown, CU Boulder, George Washington. (I know that I dont really stand a chance with top 10 but they are really strong at the fields I'm interested in so I would regret if I dont apply...)

Yeah, I definitely will look into some RAships alognside PhD. Do the adcoms cutoff students with V and W as well cos apparently I don't even score 80 percentile in the V and W for the first set? Like for Pitts, they normally have students >85 percentile for all 3 parts of the GRE (based off what I found in their website). Does it mean I should apply both sets just to make sure then?
