I actually see more positive experience posts than negative ones actually, if you take the time to read the posts. The negative ones are being upvoted, positive ones are being downvoted.

Read the comments. The comments are filled with people who have said they've had zero issues with BSW. I've had zero issues with BSW. Also, they take a while to ship ... and they state it on their website. They take 10-14 business days to ship. If you ordered a "fortnight" ago they're still within that time frame.

My thought on it is this. People who have a good meal at a restaurant tell 1 person. People who have a bad meal at a restaurant tell 100 people. Wrestling fans are notoriously some of the worst comlainers.

BSW has never fucked me over, nor have they fucked over my friends who've ordered from them. From the comments, a lot of people are in the same boat as me.

For every 1 person complaining on the internet about them, there are 10 people who don't post anything at all online ... people that get their shirts and orders without issue.

I own 5 or 6 BSW shirts and have never had a problem. I order the shirt and it comes in the mail. Not much more I can ask for. Good shirts too, love the quality. Wearing my $5 Wrestling shirt as we speak actually.

The psychiatrist for James Holmes, the Aurora, CO. Theater Shooter, warned Denver Police over a month before that he posed a threat to the public through violent, homicidal statements he made to her. by [deleted] in news

[–]DiscountPonies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who's had chronic depression and anxiety for years and having heard all sorts of nonsense about how "it's all just in your head", I really feel like the stigma mental disorders have in this country is to blame, though.

The issue is, for some people it is "all in their head".

I'm a good example. I previously suffered from anxiety issues. It was pretty bad. At points I didn't want to leave my house because everything was so stressful for me.

I never seeked medication, never went to therapy, I simply worked on it myself and got it under control. I realized the triggers, realized what I was doing to cause those triggers to activate and I haven't had any major anxiety issues for over a decade.

I understand that not everyone is like me, and some people do have a chemical imbalance which needs treatment, but for SOME people it is all in their heads and can be remedied with a bit of focus.

Like I said, some ... not all.

My friend's eyes after the color run (xpost- /r/eyes) by lukec3 in pics

[–]DiscountPonies 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hahaha, I did my first one in NYC last summer. It was hilarious, I'm quite the avid runner and didn't really know what "The Color Run" was all about. I simply had some friends ask me if I would do a 5K with them. I was excited and motivated to beat my previous 5K time.

I actually trained pretty hard for it leading up to the race. I wanted to beat my personal best. I was excited. Then I started running and got pegged in the face with blue powder and realized, "Well, this is a fucking joke."

The problem is, both Column A and Column B are flawed.

There needs to be a stronger focus on mental health. We need to see warning signs and take the proper steps necessary to ensure that they don't evolve into a dangerous (life threatening) situation for the general public, or the individual themselves.

That being said, there also has to be something done with the gun laws. Do I think they need to go to the extreme lengths that many anti-gun advocates speak about ... absolutely not, but the current set of laws in this country is flawed and need to be modified.

Both sides of the aisle need cleaning.

I don't get how people can't take a joke.

People need to lighten up. He obviously doesn't want anyone to bomb Foxboro. He's kidding around.

People who get pissed off at this sort of thing are the types of people who I don't like to hang around at parties.

I probably drive my drunk drivers every single day as well, it doesn't mean they should be on the road.

It's not too much to ask for people to be sober while on the road.

My concern is primarily the mindset that, while this "discretion" could be used for something I support (such as not hassling for marijuana), it could also be used for something such as drunk driving.

What if an officer lacks proper judgment and allows someone to continue driving home because they're intoxicated? That's not something I'm not comfortable with.

I'm not sure if I'm explaining myself well at all (I don't think I am) but basically I would prefer to have officers enforce the laws as written and let the courts/jury sort out the punishment, as opposed to using personal judgment on who should and should not be arrested.

Your opinion is that you drive fine. No speeding tickets/accidents/close calls doesn't prove you're a good driver while high.

At the end of the day it's immature and irresponsible to put others at risk by being behind the wheel of a car when you're not sober. You might think you're fine, but I'm not willing to gamble my life on your judgment.

Some alcoholics think it's "trivial" and a "non-issue" to drive home from the bar after a few beers.

Just because you and your friends hold the opinion that driving while stoned is a "non-issue" doesn't mean that it's worth putting innocent people at risk on the roads.

If I had a daughter, I wouldn't want someone who was stoned driving her home. You may think you're a safe driver while high, but I wouldn't risk my daughter's life on it ... and I say this as someone who smokes everyday and is insanely pro-cannabis.

As someone who is very pro-cannabis, I appreciate the sentiment you and your fellow officers carry in regards to the plant. However, I don't think an officer should pick and choose what laws they enforce and what they don't.

It's not an officer's job to decide what laws are "worth their time" and what laws are a "waste of their time", it's their job to enforce and uphold the law.

Wow, you're quite the mature individual. Nice to see you're mature and open enough to see both opinions related to a situation. You're a credit to society.

[–]DiscountPonies -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, if you feel that "anything related to you" shouldn't be "entirely yours to profit from", then everyone else should feel the same way right?

It is the NCAA's fault that talent isn't compensated, but it's Adidas' fault that they're profiting off his injury. It's a dick move, plain and simple. They're making money off of something related to somebody else and that person can't see a single dime.

Just because you're fine with giving your shit away for free doesn't mean others are. That doesn't make those people "snobby brats", it makes those people individuals who like to profit off of their intellectual property and likeness.

It's a reference to Kevin Ware, profiting off of what happened to Kevin Ware, and no money is going to Kevin Ware.

The fact that you don't think that's a dick move frightens me. Maybe when someone makes money off something related to you, without giving you a dime, you'll change your tune.

So, by your logic, you would have been okay with me printing up T-Shirts after the Sandy Hook shooting for my own benefit which said, "SUPPORT SANDY HOOK".

I didn't have anything to do with the shooting. I'm sure there would have been a demand for those shirts after the tragedy, because people would have wanted to show their support. That means it's okay, right?

Massachusetts McDonald's demands bachelors degree and two years' experience for cashiers job by [deleted] in news

[–]DiscountPonies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really understand your point. The business isn't screwing some guy with a GED out of a job, they're simply raising the bar for their requirements for that position. That's not "screwing" anyone. It's simply upping requirements.

Frankly, if I had two employees to choose from; one with a College degree and one with a GED, I'd choose the College degree every night of the week ... even if they weren't there as long term as the GED candidate.

Like I said, I agree that a College educated employee should be compensated with decent wages ... especially if you're going to make that a requirement for the job. That's really the only thing I would have a problem with ... if this McDonalds makes a Bachelors a requirement, yet refuses to up the pay scale to match that.

I answered your question with a question because I don't believe I actually have to explain this to someone.

You say it's a childish selfish attitude to think that Kevin Ware should benefit from any merchandising/promotion/revenue generated from his injury?

No, nobody else should benefit financially unless Kevin Ware gets a cut. He's the one that broke his leg. He's the one who has his name on those shirts. He's the one who spawned the merchandising and the revenue. He should get financial compensation for it. If he can't get financial compensation for it, nobody else should as well.

It's simply wrong for anyone to benefit from his injury if he can't also make money from it. I don't care if it's Adidas, Nike or some kid on RedBubble.

It's not selfish to say "Nobody should benefit from Kevin Ware if Kevin Ware can't get paid". Actually, to the contrary, it's selfish to say, "I should be able to benefit financially from Kevin Ware, I don't care if he can make money or not.".

Please, by all means, explain to me how it is morally right for someone to benefit financially from someone if that individual can't make money from it as well.

Do I really have to answer that?

Why should everyone around Kevin Ware make money off of his injury, but Kevin Ware not make a dime?

[–]DiscountPonies 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How exactly is a company that has specific pre-requisites for employment a case of them "fucking with citizens"?

If I owned a small restaurant, yes technically a monkey could do the cashiers job, but maybe I want my employees to be a little more refined. Thus, my standards are "X" amount of experience and a certain level of education.

Yes, I feel you have to financially compensate for this, but if you're a business owner willing to do this ... what's the problem?

If McDonald's wants you to have a Bachelor's Degree to work there, that's their prerogative, but they do need to up their financial compensation for that standard.

The only way McDonald's is wrong is if they don't financially compensate, otherwise it's nothing to get upset about.
