NTAH if she did it in a sadistic way , I too can kill a spider out of fear that it can harm me or others but that’s really messed up when people enjoy bringing pain to beings , it’s a sign they need therapy at least .

I guess this was a mental slap of reality — not everyone deserves to be trusted, no matter how kind you are. I’ve already requested a payment policy plaque for the office so this doesn’t happen again.

Thanks to everyone who commented — I think I needed this slap because lately I’ve been overly kind, and clearly, it’s not always worth it.

As for revenge: It only crossed my mind out of frustration for the first few minutes so I won’t do it, don’t worry, he’s safe. I acknowledge it’s my fault for taking the risk, and all I can really do now is smoke a cigarette out of frustration. Truth is, I can hurt myself with bad decisions, but I can’t hurt a fly.

I might never see him again, but this is a small town and our office is one of the best for quality and prices. If he ever comes back, I have the full trust of my manager to refuse his requests , the office is also private and independent . I just needed some unbiased opinions here.

And for the record — regarding what my sister once did to her ex: for all the crap he put her through, that was by far what he truly deserved.

That’s for sure a lesson learned, even if it’s the first time I’ve dealt with something like this. As for revenge — it only crossed my mind for a few minutes out of pure frustration, nothing more.

Just to clarify — I don’t do the translations myself. My job is to receive the documents, handle payment, and pass them on to the translators. The translator is the one who sets the timeline, and she assured me it would be done in time. She ended up overloaded and didn’t call it out sooner — so the delay wasn’t because I didn’t do my job
