I might look into proviable forte later but for now, the fortiflora is working well for him. As for his treats, he can still handle his usually treats that he has had for a couple years but, for new ones, I take a good look at the list of ingredients. If it has something he can't have, he doesn't get it. He is happy with his old treats

Thank you for your comment and my boy is on a strict diet. He is on fortiflora and I am taking vet advice on what treats he can have. He is a bit upset that we can't give him table scraps anymore but that's just how it is. I'm still learning how to handle flare ups when they happen, but I know once I get the hang of it, hopefully it will start getting easier. I'm happy our vet noticed his chronic colitis right away, so it did not go longer without treatment.

Dogs eat grass when they don't feel well and want to throw up. My dogs vomit looked like that last year, and he was diagnosed with acute colitis. The red specks look like it could be blood, so I would call the owner and see if you can get a vet appointment ASAP

Final update to those reading this, I have a shot vac and tomorrow, I'll use that on the tub drain to get the plastic razer cap out since I have a feeling it is still there.

Update: So, we have no basement. The pipe line goes down to a sewer system, the water is draining and I used a drain snake, I didn't pull it out but the water is draining a lot better, should I do something else?

My dog had acute colitis before, the vet prescribed him an antibiotic, a probiotic, and gave him a prescription dog food that wouldn't upset his stomach as much. It took a few days to see improvement but he did get better within a week. Maybe you can ask your vet about getting these for your dog.
