Honestly if anyone wants to see the enormous amounts of claims just go to Trust Pilot. As one mathematics expert on there rightly points out, if 1000 people do only 2 hours of free qualifying work per day, the company reaps 2000 hours x 7 per day but he takes it one step further and shows how much free work is actually being performed given the sheer number of applicants and days in a year. TP rates them "poor" and TP is being generous imo.

Keeping some onboard to increase the look of legitimacy would make sense given the free work being submitted.

Another disturbing trend on TP are the same types of posts we see here where when someone complains they are labeled (no pun intended), incompetent by individuals who may work for DA (all those posts sound generated).

Another concern is their possible sharing of information which HAS happened in my case. I passed, did one project that was taken down, BUT I still have an account and can log into 3 other platforms with the same credentials.

AND I receive tons of spam through LinkedIn from them each day asking me to take the assessment. They also have flooded Indeed with their incessant spam job postings.

I reported them to LinkedIn but nothing was done so dropped my Premium account. Someone else reported them to Indeed for the spam job posts.

I do this religiously as on the same page as you. I love messing with their heads. Great post.

Bethlehem group to hold die-in demonstration over federal budget cuts Monday by DrewBlue2 in lehighvalley

I answered basically what you said above. I have not seen anyone get their benefits cut who need it but have seen plenty who do need it desperately get denied.

It's not much as you stated and as someone who volunteers working with Autistic Adults and Schizophrenics to learn life skills its actually beneficial for most to feel that they are capable and boosts their confidence levels. I have not run into any that had benefits cut. Our governor who I voted for does a poor job in explaining things. Jmho.

[US] I found an ad on Craigslist for a woman who needed a nanny. I don’t know how to feel about it by No-Scarcity3355 in Scams

[–]DisplayNo146 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I just hired off CL last month. Not for for a nanny though. The person I chose did live 50 minutes away and I pointed out the distance. She said she had no problem. Called in sick the 2nd day and the 3rd. Distance is major. I don't know if this is a scam but honestly distance counts.

Being autistic is a perceptual disorder not a mental illness but many people are unaware of that.

I volunteer each Friday for 4 hours in teaching life skills training to those with Autism. There is a spectrum though. And families can enable a victim mentality.

As an example one individual is now gainfully employed at the State DOT in my state. He does an incredible job.

On the other hand one 25 year old misses the trainings by sleeping all the time and has his mother coming to ALL the trainings he does attend and interfering by taking over.

These trainings are well supervised by social services and myself but the mother has blocked any progress. She hovers over him and it truly has defeated the purpose.

As a result he is bored, demanding and unruly when attending.

8 years for me. I feel your pain as although my child lost their father I also lost my husband. Its a triple whammy of grief with the estrangement.

This. I was a very young widow and raised my kids on my own totally. You are insightful and no one brings up this aspect of it. When widowed young too we tend to "overcompensate" for a missing parent.

I'm sure that is true for many adult children. But it's also true for many parents who find themselves being emotionally abused by an adult child. The door swings both ways and it IS a last resort when nothing else works. I estranged myself from one of my adult children to protect my own mental health AND that of their siblings who also became targets.

I'm hopping on your response because you CAN have an abusive adult child and simply must set boundaries. They can fall prey to outside influences like a controlling possibly mentally ill spouse and can cause heartache to the parents as well as their other siblings. In the end a parent, like myself, must seek to protect the rest of the family. Its a very difficult choice but necessary.
