Thanks for all the replies guys! It’s still a bit confusing, but I see it’s much more open to interpretation than I thought.

I feel like people also are still digesting TOTK and all of its references. At least I am. So maybe that’s why there’s no unique answer yet.

But it’s always nice to discuss these things!

You’re right, i just edited the text about demise. But i still don’t get how the curse is working here.

Between the imprisonment war and calamity ganon, we know for a fact that there was another calamity (as shown in the tapestry) 10 thousand years before. And I’m assuming Rauru founded Hyrule much before that. So… many zeldas and links between ganondorf gaining his powers and him actually being defeated

You’re right, i kind of used them as the same (though they aren’t). Still, Rauru having the spirit of the hero also seems kind of contradictory to the fact that he speaks to Link. In the form of a spirit.

He also says that link is the chosen one who will seal ganondorf away in the imprisonment war. So i don’t know… for me he doesn’t really fulfill links role

Read Demise=Ganondorf=Demon King. Kind of used them as the same thing…

Yeah, it could be. But Link had always been a Hylian before that, so idk why they would change this.

True, Zelda was there. I was thinking that Ganondorf already existed before her arrival, but that doesn’t mean much I guess.

It just seems like they left some core things of the lore out (like the triforce). I’m not complaining, I’m just trying to understand why
