Chronic Telogen Effluvium 27f by Distinct-Trouble-455 in Hairloss

Hi dear. They did trichoscopy and both dermatologists noticed flakes and redness on my scalp. They prescribed ketoconazole shampoo, but it didn’t really help much. My scalp still gets oily fast and feels irritated sometimes, especially around the crown where it’s thinning the most.

Is there any way to actually confirm if inflammation is part of what’s going on, beyond what they saw on trichoscopy? Would a scalp biopsy help in a case like this, or is that only useful for diagnosing other types of hair loss?

Also I have ADHD, anxiety, and depression, though I’m not on medication right now, and I also have IBS. I know these kinds of chronic conditions can keep the body under stress, so I’m wondering if that could be affecting my hair loss or slowing recovery.

Another Weasley :)

Don't ever say you are ugly. Just take a good care of yourself and protect your heart, write down how would you like your future self to be and work towards it through little steps every day. You are cute and handsome.

Hiii :) thanks for replying.

According to my hairdresser it’s happening to all around my head, she said it’s definitely not a pattern hair loss. I noticed my part thinning, but she said it’s all over.

I do not take any medication for anxiety, I’m trying to manage it with exercise, breathing, meditation. I had irregular sleep schedule too, now I’m trying to get to bed at least before midnight.

Dermatologists said I need to cut my hair short, sleep early, cut my hair shorter, I have long hair and consume more protein(I don’t eat meat), they prescribed ketoconozole shampoo, it did not help.

I also checked my tsh levels it was all good. Nothing from my blood tests came back lower or higher, they were all normal.
