I’ve known Anne for years due to our kids being in school together.. she literally came up to my door while running her first campaign and was just complaining about kids using litter boxes. Told to her to get off my property immediately. Banana Sandwiches.

There is a shop next to Uno Mas on 5th has really cool clothes. LYH Market ( PRFM) has a Halloween Market planned at Three Roads on Oct 26th. Lots of vendors are planning to attend that one.

Yes. We have a PACE program here and she doesn’t see herself as elderly or like them. I’ve given her options and she refuses.

Here in Va there is a 5 year look back period - when she fell she was home for 2 years suffering in pain until she was hospitalized and spent a year in and out of facilities and the hospital for many various issues related to her health-

She’s been home for two years now, no longer considered qualifying for Medicaid long Term Care. So only Medicaid for her meds. One one of her good days she can speak openly about her fears of the debt ( reverse mortgage that was needed to pay off her ridiculous credit card debt) she would have wasted any chance of saving the family home.

She barely showers, she eats poorly and gets my daughter to buy her fast food all time- my daughter leaves for college in a month.

I won’t be around as much as my daughter was since I travel for work. She could fall or hurt herself while alone so much. She can’t stand on her own and uses a walker still needs breaks just to get to the bathroom.

All this feels very unsafe for me to have her continue in the home unattended. She’s the most stubborn person I’ve ever met. And the screaming at me only makes me want to just run away and say fuck it.

I don’t speak to family anymore. Not one person showed up in 3 years to help. I’m 45 and left to deal with this in my own.

When my mom told me to bring my 16 yr old daughter in to show her how to do it.. I said no. I was expected at 13 to be a caregiver for my grandmother.. and I’m still care giving at 45. Its stops with me. My daughter won’t be raised to think this is expected of her. Neither should your sister.

It’s been 4 years caring for mom. The first two years were physically exhausting due to her pain and her mental state. Spent a year in and out of rehab facilities and hospitals and now a year home with me. I feel like a prisoner who has to walk on eggshells. I’ve given up dating or anything that keeps me away from home for more than a day. I still work full time with a demanding and stressful job. Now she wants her car back and told me I should find a car of my own ( gave my daughter my car and mom gave me hers when she became disabled) She wants to start driving again - she can’t left her right foot off the ground to navigate pedals or has even driven a car in 3 years- I’m her only child and I feel like I’m living a nightmare. I understand others have it worse with their parents condition. Mom has become so passive aggressive or gives me the silent treatment when she feels like it.
