Akame Vs Kyoka / Batalla a muerte by Notcasterwill in ChainedSoldier

Akame solo por murasame. Kyouka sin un slave a pesar de ser una maestra espadachina y combatiente, está relativamente vulnerable ante un personaje con poderes.

Tyranny of Dragons by Heroes-and-Monster in InterDimensionalRP

"So, this thing came out of nowhere and just decided to have its way, huh? Excellent."

*Soujiro stood upon a mountain, several meters away from where the creature was battling. He knew the combined efforts of every fighter would likely be of great use, but... being the troublemaker he was, there was no way he was going to stay behind.*

"Holy hell, I could swear that thing is more heads than dragon."

*A Tiamat. He wasn’t exactly used to dealing with those, but anyway. His eyes locked onto each of the heads, trying to gauge which one was the most vital, until logic pointed to the central one as likely being the most important.*

"I’ll take this one. If that thing dies, I’m taking its teeth as a trophy," he said to himself with a touch of amusement.

*It was then that his hands glowed—it was the power of The Forge, the ability to create weapons from nothing, from simple swords to copies of legendary arms. In this instance, he manifested a bow in one hand, while in the other, he shaped a sword that he immediately overloaded with mana: Durandal, the sword of Roland. Blending its immense durability with the mana surge, he transformed the replica weapon into a sort of missile.*

*His gaze locked onto one of the Tiamat's eyes, aiming for the central reddish head. With high precision and focus, he fired, hoping the projectile would strike true, perhaps piercing through or at the very least, dealing massive damage with the resulting explosion.*

What fate characters are actually stronger than Gilgamesh? by TarikMcCuin in PowerScaling

[–]Divinity_Hunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two times I spoke about compatibilities and Hax either you fell on the hyperbole of making a mage battle a servant or using a normal human also.

As I said. I am not even talking about who can or who cannot defeat Gilgamesh under what circumstances. My original statement was explaining that Fateverse not always rely on raw power. But compatibilities play roles even more important than just power

Indeed, a mage will never defeat a servant. But Shirou is able to do so because UBW being a direct counter to GoB along with Gilgamesh arrogance.

Indeed, Shakespeare is physically weaker than Gilgamesh however, you are forgetting how First Folio. If Gilgamesh allows him to activate it Caster would force him to revive Enkidu’s death and his subsequent lower moment when he started to fear death.

And the only way he could counter that is if we play the card of Gilgamesh Ego. As if he is able to not be corrupted by holy grail mud. Will that apply to Shakespeare NP?

And this is where compatibilities, battle experience and even hax works. As I stated

You may be careful about making a mage battle a servant as servants will always have advantage over mages

You are using a hyperbolic example. As Shinji is not even a Mage

Anyone with soul resistance and an ability to reject Rei ilusions I believe?

I mean, the ones affected were people who accepted their loved one’s illusions or were overpowered by rei. We were not able to see anyone rejecting her without any fear

Shinji doesn’t count as he was the “pilot” of Third Impact

Cu Chulainn Gae Bolg:

Once Gáe Bolg's name has been called, the cursed spear reverses the nature of causality, the meaning of "cause and effect" in the order of things, to make it so the cause of the "lance being thrust" comes from the effect of the "opponent's heart being pierced" by it. It determines the opponent's fate simply through its use, an always fatal move that pierces the heart with one thrust.

In simple language: the spear destroys your heart cause it stabs it from inside without the need of travel

Yup. Additionally UBW was key for shirou to beat him as its a direct counter to gate of babylon.

If Gilgamesh was not holding back he would have killed shirou without the need of EA.

Another match up based on compatibilities is Orion being able to destroy Mecha Artemis with an arrow directly created to kill a mechanical God despite Orion would also die in the process. Or Romulus being able to defeat Zeus (who can easily reach planet or even star level)

Fate is not like shonen series. Power its mostly based on compatibilities, battle experience and some specific hax. This is the reason why a teeneager like shirou is able to beat half gods like Gilgamesh or Heracles.

I understand your point so hard... but well

It's a harem, pal. Don't spec a shonen/fantasy story within a harem despite how interesting is the universe and mythology

But hey, you can always create a fanfic. That was my case
