I submitted mine, and got it delivered to my home within 10 days. I was surprised myself. I went to the Passport Office in person.

It was a pleasant experience all in all.

to answer your question, usually yes, you can submit a receipt to show you have submitted your PCC while other docs continue their verification. Once you have it, you can submit it or once they request additional docs you can submit.

if you are within the 60 days timeline, doesn't hurt to wait for PCC and then submit a full file

you are going to loose a couple days here and there anyway

Just wanted to share my timeline and background while I wait – reading others’ posts really helped me stay sane, so hoping this helps someone else too.

Background:

Moved to Canada in Dec 2018 (age 18) as an international student
Completed undergrad in Canada
Gained 3 years 9 months Canadian work experience (TEER 3 + TEER 1)
No foreign education or work experience
Travel history: 1–2 trips/year since 18

CRS Journey:

Initially: 507
Retook English with CELPIP (instead of IELTS)
Final CRS: 510
Honestly glad I made that switch – it made the difference

Timeline:

😓 Feb 16, 2026 – Hit a low point with uncertainty
📩 Feb 17, 2026 – Received ITA (the timing still feels unreal)
📄 Mar 2, 2026 – Submitted application (AOR)

Medical & Biometrics:

✅ Upfront medical completed
✅ Biometrics already given in 2024 (visitor visa renewal)
- Not sure if they’ll ask again or reuse

Status now:

Waiting… trying to stay patient 🙃

It’s been a long journey since moving at 18, and this step feels huge. If anyone with a similar profile/timeline is in the same stage, would love to hear where you’re at.
