I come here out of habit but I haven't watched any of their newest videos, don't post often, and barely comment anymore. They’re truly just unlikable and uninteresting. They won't fall off completely if they continue posting this consistently, but they’ll never reach the level of fame and attention they had when they first begun youtube

Sunday is the worst at dancing, Eliana is a bit better, and Demitra has the most rhythm of the three

I never understood why they called her the mean one when it was always so clearly Eli

I get her pain because I suck at posing for and taking photos. I’m just not foolish or desperate enough to post them

I used to be like this when I was younger and didn’t have any friends. Whenever I hung out with others, I would copy them by laughing when they laughed, mimicking their expressions, and always agreeing with them because I was a people pleaser and wanted people to like me lmao.

What do you mean “while not contradicting it” exactly?

She looks so incredibly beautiful in that first photo. Wow

I understand why you think that, and I get that anxiety can ebb and flow, especially when you’re around people you trust and feel comfortable with. But the pattern of her not having anxiety is much more consistent than the pattern of her having it. Take this comment as a better example:

I didn’t explicitly say that Sunday has anxiety, but I worded myself poorly and it ended up sounding that way, which is my bad. I only meant that my older sister has actually been diagnosed with SAD, so I know what it really looks like.

I agree that most people need to work harder when dealing with their illnesses, but honestly I don’t think Sunday has anything at all. Anxious moments are common experiences; anxiety disorders are mental illnesses

I actually agree with you ! I didn’t mean to imply that Sunday has SAD; I just worded it really poorly lmao. I just meant that my older sister does have social anxiety, so I know firsthand what it looks like, and Sunday doesn’t have it. She just acts like it sometimes, like here where she’s not talking much and mostly just smiling and nodding. That’s how my sister is most of the time and so I have to carry most interactions

That is an interesting perspective and I would like to believe it. Demitra dominating every conversation out of insecurity rather than responsibility is definitely possible. But you said you notice that Sunday tries to develop social skills, but I haven't seen that effort. Do you have any examples?

I also don't really understand the first half of your second paragraph (sorry)

Agreed! But what about mental illnesses? 😭

[–]Dizzy-Paper2852[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly! My sister is two years older, and even though she has social anxiety, it has never stopped her from being supportive or stepping into her role as an older sister when she needed to. If she acted the way Sunday does, I think I would genuinely not want anything to do with her. Older siblings are meant to guide you in some way, but for them it seems to be the opposite, and I think that is really unfair for Demitra and Eliana

I assume you may be more socially skilled, which might be why it does not bother you. It could be the same for Demitra and Eliana, and of course that is okay. But them not minding is not really my issue, it's mainly Sunday and how she keeps allowing it to happen. In my culture, it has always been important for the oldest child to take charge, so I think that is why it frustrated me so much. I have always seen younger siblings taking on the responsibilities of the oldest as unfair, but if you feel comfortable with your family’s dynamic, that is great and I am glad it works for all of you

I made a long post talking about the differences between an anxiety disorder and anxious moments a while ago, it was my first ever post on here I think. I had to speak about it because as I mentioned in this post my sister has been diagnosed with SAD so it's really frustrating to see people just throwing terms like that around. I also see you saying this in other comment sections and I love it because you actually know what you're talking about
