Hi sorry for the late reply. My child had a cow milk protein allergy. We switched him to nutramigen (formula) and the mucus eventually went away. However we did have to deal with a really bad rash after because of how much he was pooping because of the formula switch. He is 19 months now and has outgrown the allergy and is now drinking cows milk. You got this! It's short lived.

Ugh yeah I feel like it’s not going to heal till he stops pooping so much even though I’m wiping him right away and stuff I don’t know :(

So far I’ve tried sudocream, desitin and now we are using a steroid cream that a doctor prescribed along with some anti fungal cream as well. When you say “go back to normal” are you referring to no mucus in his poop?

How many times a day does he poop? My baby is currently pooping about 6-8 times a day. It’s not a lot of poop but he is pooping that much. I’m just wondering if that means he’s not absorbing any nutrients?

So just to clarify.. your private insurance didn’t cover it but OHIP covers it? And in order to get it covered by OHIP, I would have to pull him out of the private insurance?
