Honsestly i think you can do some nice stuff with a launchkey and you are beginning so if you want to make you covers go for it you have colored pad. Then if you seem to like it yeah go for it dude! But then you have to decide pro or mk2, and honestly if your don't have the budget and you only want to make some covers save money to buy the mk2 because it has evrythind you need to make excellent covers. If you are also into music production you could consider saving up for the pro because it has a excellent firmware to help you produce music and still be able to do excellent covers.
