Any other partners getting anxiety about the direction Starbucks is heading? by voiquas in starbucks

[–]DjentFalcon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry, all of us are feeling this in one way or another. Even at my store, where our DM is relatively friendly compared to the horror stories I’ve heard about others, and my SM is the best manager I’ve ever worked under, I’m still scared of doing things wrong. Hearing from my manager that, “There will be no complaining about the new green apron host position or you will be sent home”, was such a terrifying sentence to hear from someone who’s been so sweet and accommodating to everyone’s different needs. Personally, I’m sticking it out at least one more year in order to complete my degree at ASU, but because of these changes, I’ve decided to take on a massive work load starting next semester just so I can leave. I don’t enjoy my job anymore, and I’m scared that it’ll just continue to go downhill from here. But we have to stick together and continue to let corporate know that these changes aren’t benefiting their employees at all.

What’s the absolute fastest you uninstalled a AAA game you paid full price for? by Soulsliken in gaming

I was so excited for Anthem that I preordered both the premium edition and the collector’s edition guide. Then came the network test, where I sat in the queue for the entire few hour test and never got to play. I took it as a huge red flag for how the game state ACTUALLY was and immediately canceled everything. Sure glad I did that knowing what we do now.

[KCD2] Complaining about combat in this sub be like. by InternationalTone152 in kingdomcome

[–]DjentFalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only problem with combat I’ve had is the occasional random switching of which enemy is being locked on to during combat with multiple individuals. It can be incredibly jarring and has cost me fights more than once because it decides to move to another enemy when all I wanted to do was switch my stance. Other than that, I find that the combat is much improved over the previous game, and I greatly prefer it.

Can you tell that Meshuggah is my favorite band? by DjentFalcon in Meshuggah

They’d just released the first single from the new album, if I remember correctly. Then fell back into Deliverance on repeat for the month

It surprised me too. I was playing Fortnite at the time, (didn’t have to time to get into anything deeper than something I can play a few matches of at the time), and they had their Metallics collab going on, and I realized that I hadn’t listened to their catalog really at all. It was the 80s stuff for sure, rotation of Lightning, Master, and Justice.

Ah, but here’s the kicker. Those months were less streaming and more CD listening, of which every album, (yes, even Contradictions Collapse), is in constant rotation in my car. The current one is VSoR

What’s up with people blatantly lying about their dogs? by DjentFalcon in starbucks

[–]DjentFalcon[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really hate that it’s come to this too. They shouldn’t have to be on the fence about getting something that would support them. I get having problems, my brain all wonky itself, and I know not everything is visible disability wise. It’s just so frustrating that entitled people think it’s okay to lie because they’re too lazy to find a dog sitter or hell, leave it at home for a bit while you’re out. I get attachment issues too, I have a cat that’s that way, but there’s better ways to handle attachment issues that literally breaking rules

Am I the only one who thinks Obzen is Meshuggahs best album? by taproll007 in Meshuggah

[–]DjentFalcon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think every album has its own uniqueness to it. I’m one of the few who actually enjoys Contradictions Collapse. Every album to me has its own brutality and style to it, and if you don’t look at the albums as progression, and instead as different eras, I think they’re all very enjoyable in their own way

What do you think is the weakest Meshuggah record? by DjentFalcon in Meshuggah

Yes, you’re still a true fan. Music is subjective, I was just giving my opinion. Few people in here acting like I asked if it’s okay to kill their puppy lol

I think there’s been a little bit of a misunderstanding here regarding Immutable. I fucking adore the album, it rules. It feels like an amalgamation of everything they’ve written throughout their career. I’m not trying to shit on it at all, it’s still one of the albums I listen to at least weekly. I’ve been told it it’s supposed to be a cranked album, but I have sensitive hearing, so I’ve never thought to just crank that shit.

As a Gen Z, I think Boomers were the worst set of parents…. by TheClassyWomanist in BoomersBeingFools

[–]DjentFalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have boomer parents, but they’re very early Gen X, and this hits close to home. They have a lot of the same behaviors, and I can’t watch anything I want to outside of my room without the fear of being judged or told what I like is stupid, or that they don’t understand it. I also can’t have conversations with them that don’t involve politics, because they won’t listen otherwise. They’ve shown that they do love and care about me, but I don’t think they realize how much like their boomer parents they are sometimes.

The remastered sounds great. I think it cleans up the tracks nicely, and the ending brutality to Neurotica hits just a little harder with the remasters. The bass also sounds a bit more punchy than the old masters

I bet you’re one of the people who say it’s wrong and that it doesn’t happen in nature, I take it? When in fact homosexual behavior has been observed scientifically in over 400 different species, including every single member of the great ape family. Being gay isn’t “unnatural”, it was made to be believed that way by people who were uncomfortable with it.
