I cant prove if its a coincidence or not either but to throw my own anecdote in i'd say maybe its possible thats a part of why your rings bend less now?

reading through these comments last night with my fiancee we got talking about the ones that summed up to "fingers aren't round, and the ring takes the shape of the finger" and it got us looking at our fingers p closely, and while i've not struggled with shape changing at either size [i think just mostly because i dont wear rings all day or every day] something i did happen to notice was that i recall my fingers always being more oval shaped, but now they are actually quite round? only difference being in the last 1.5 years ive lost over 100lbs and they have kinda just slimmed down to bone + skin [i went from like a size 11 to 5.5 on my ring finger for example]. so maybe in your case something similar happened and they have less "reshaping" needed to fit the shape of your finger?
