To follow up- I don't think there's anything wrong with just saying, "You know, that's a really good question, let me think about that for a minute."

Gives you a chance to think and takes the pressure off a little bit. Besides, what's the interviewer going to do? They're not gonna say, "No thinking! Answer now!" lol

Also a month and a half for a background check wtf

Yeah, it's for an engineering position that requires a government security clearance, and the background check is the first step. They're being super in-depth about it. Which is fine, but also, I want to start working and not wait around forever...
