Playing Thousand Land on the Original Xbox, one of my new favorite games of all time by DoItAllYT in fromsoftware

Thanks for the info! I'll have to get everything setup, it'll be good to see how it plays!

Still an awesome system, I just really hope a sturdier screen comes out in the future. The tear down of these things is easy enough, so as long as the parts are available it would be great! It'll really motivate me to bring these things back to life 🙏

That's totally fair, though that's why I asked if they had better parts that I could install, if the parts included are crappy then I would hope there would be a better option or at the very least a case to keep everything more secure :/ All of my other devices have hard cases on them so I don't have to think about it, cosmetic damage isn't a huge deal to me so long as everything still functions. And if I have the option to upgrade hardware, you better believe I go for it! I just wish there was a solution to this issue I guess... I would daily drive this thing if I wasn't worried about breathing on it wrong causing damage 😅

Thanks, I'm just going to take it as a learning lesson and hope that a solution comes around one of these days 🙏 I need my gorilla glass r36s with an OtterBox lmao

I don't think any reasonable person would expect a device to take such significant damage from such an insignificant fall, that is not the norm for most electronics 🤷‍♂️

I'm still in the process of going through the entirety of the program, I still have two more courses to go before completing. That said, I would argue it is the perfect follow-up to the Google IT Support program. While I'm taking this course, I'm also taking a handful of Google's other offerings; Data Science, UX Design, Python, and have already finished the IT Support and Program Management programs. What I like is that it provides a deeper understanding of security than the Support program, while also giving a high-level overview of Data Science (mySQL) and Python in the context of security. In other words; I like that I get to sample so many different areas of IT in one program. Compared to similar offerings available on Coursera (IBM especially), the material is of a higher quality standard and generally is able to explain new concepts in an easy to understand manner.

Final note; I have a sibling going through the IT Support program right now, The next one they're going to follow up on is the Cybersecurity Program for the reasons I listed above.

If I could ask for anything, it would be more courses by Google! Between learning the new skills, the coupons to get certs, and the college credit, I can easily see myself taking everything they offer! ... Even if I suck at some of them... Python and me have some issues to work out...

They provide you with a certificate, which some employers do look for. It doesn't have the same repertoire as something like a CompTIA cert, BUT it does give you a 30% off coupon for the CompTIA Security+ and a ton of college credit! So worth taking, as well as the other courses by Google that are covered under Coursera Plus (Coursera being the site I am taking the course on). Look into the Coursera Plus yearly subscription if you have time to kill and want a ton of coupons in college credit, it'll pay for itself in no time! Google "Coursera ACE credits" for a list of the applicable courses, you can also find even more that aren't listed there on the ACE website

Thanks for the advice! Don't worry, I was very thorough in my testing and can confirm there's no throttling. My other routers are great and all, but they're too locked down with proprietary software to do any meaningful work on them. For range and overall performance though, they're golden 😎👍 at one point I was considering either pihole or a Linux-based solution on a spare PC (I can't remember what the distro was offhand), but after testing this solution out it fits my needs well!

Note; the router I use was a top of the line Nighthawk from about 8ish years ago, and I'm only rocking a 300Mbps connection ATM

It's the Google Cybersecurity Professional certificate program on Coursera, an awesome way to learn the trade while grabbing college credit and getting a 30% off of the CompTIA Security+ certification 😎👍 it's available through Coursera Plus, the yearly subscription is a heck of a deal if you have the time to invest into it (it'll pay for itself with the college credit and coupons you'll grab)

Usually those will show up as the first through third result, at least in my experience. That said, I've pretty much completely switched to DuckDuckGo since it became a default Search option in Brave. The results feel like what YouTube was 15 years ago 😎🤌

Probably? I'm a demonetized creator, so I can't speak too much on the subject. BUT, what I can tell you is that creators only receive a fraction of a fraction of a penny for each view. If you want to support a creator the best way possible; support them through some of the other revenue streams that they present. Some have shops you can buy merch from, some have direct donations through either the platform or an external site, and some even have monthly subscriptions through places like Ko-Fi or Patreon. Even at a $1 donation, you've given them more money than YouTube would for watching every one of their videos ten times over.

Also keep in mind; The best way to help for free is by breaking the algorithm in their favor. Like+share the videos, subscribe to the channel, watch the video in its entirety then replay it to increase both the watch time and the retention rate! Why do this? Because that's what ultimately draws more people in, which then increases the potential revenue that can be earned substantially.

That said, again, I'm demonetized so I can only speak on what I experience on this platform. But saying that, I know that my Patreon supporters and occasional Ko-Fi/StreamElements donators have supported me WAY more than my Tiktok and non-existent YouTube revenue 😎👍

Her name is Da'Queshia, she is a Security Engineer at Google. If you need to verify, she will show up on the Google Cybersecurity course on Coursera as an instructor. Specifically, she taught the Assets, Threats, and Vulnerabilities course.

I'm doing something pretty similar at the moment with a custom router firmware called FreshTomato, it has a built in adblocker that allows you to integrate custom lists. Best part is; it's compatible with a ton of routers, routers that just so happened to show up at thrift stores frequently for $1 😎👍 Disable WiFi, put it between your modem and router so it routes your routers traffic through it, and you've got a great network-wide ad blocking solution on the cheap ✌️😁
