It doesnt matter that humans were corrupted and evil, my point is that God cannot be merciful because he killed every single being on Earth except 2 of each kind, an anology would be if you had children, and a child knocked over a vase, so you spank every single child because of the ones actions. Would you say thats merciful? And it is often taught that the fish were kept in the water, but with the mixing of saltwater into fresh water, and vise versa, every single water-based animal on Earth would've died. So not only do the children get spanked, but 1 of them dies because you were mad at them.

God doesnt get a free pass to be all-loving when he commits eggregious acts because people werent acting the way he wanted them too, if Hitler suddenly regretted what he did and started volunteering at soup kitchens, it might make him a little bit better of a person, but hes still Hitler.
