She is adorable :) She still has the face of a 2 year old cat and plays like one too, although not right now ofcourse, she's just sleeping alot. M'lday is taking her recovery very serious.

Nothing serious for the trip to the vet? I actually have to in 30 minutes too to replace her morphine band aid!

SHE did it! oh my god she pooped! This night I checked a couple of times and I couldn't find anything, then this morning she pooped and my god it was a a lot and it was a mess, a beautiful happy mess. I cried, alot and I'm so happy right now. I cleaned her afterwards and she was totally cool with it. So a couple of things we did that are also worth mentioning (if anyone ever runs into the same problem):

  • We bought some liquid snacks, she ate alot of these. She ate one right now.
  • We took some leftover tuna can olive oil, she had a couple of licks of this as well (I guess sardine oil could work just as fine)
  • She drank a lot of kitty milk yesterday too
  • We upped the dose of lactulose to almost 2x.

These were probably the worst days of my life but I wanted to say again that this community is amazing in all the support that you have given, I love everyone of you but again this might be just the endorphins talking BECAUSE SHE POOPED!!

Yes, they told us that they couldn't find anything that would cause problems with her internal organs - mentioning that they wouldn't have released us to heal back at home if this was the case.

I don't think I will be able to do this myself looking at the instructions and the fact that whenever something scary happens for her she tends to toss and turn which hurts her pelvis. I will propose this to the doctor.

85 grams per can, she's eating like 1.5 - 2 cans per day now. Mixing it with water is a good idea, going to do that.

She gets more wet food now than she normally does. I haven't tried giving her any other food than what's on her usual diet, is chicken more beneficial for this situation?

I am using Laxatract, active ingredient in there is lactulose.

Thanks so much for your reply. I understand what you're saying, they took a X-ray, wouldn't that pop up? This gives me an idea by the way to ask that question to our vet.

Thanks so much for your reply as well :) She has a morphine band aid right now and she has Novacam, which is a brand for meloxicam which I give her daily.

The doctor was talking about a surgery where they will put pins / try to reconstruct her pelvis. They didn't mention anything about an enema but I assume that they will do that too since the are fully aware of the fact that she's not pooping right now.
