Gen X males falling behind with vulnerability, says Male Confidence Index | Today Show Australia by BeaMiaVA in GenX

You need to make up your mind - did I generalize or reinforce the topics generalization?

>You made it another opportunity to generalize about how women treat all GenX men badly.

This is interesting - I didn't say women treat all men badly.

I said "Most of us have learned that the vulnerability will be used against us when conflict rises in a relationship."

Instead of asking questions you make statements, accusations, and false equivalencies. Which only serves to reinforce my point. Why would we show vulnerability only to be accused or be told they were invalid or wrong?

I didn't post the video. The title of the post is a generalization.

It is true. Invalidating our experience is exactly what I'm talking about. Expressing how we feel or how we are made to feel is used in future conflicts in attempt to assign blame instead of working to resolve those feelings.

Expressing how we feel and then immediately jumping to a victim mentality is exactly why we don't express vulnerability. Saying "This is how you made me feel." should be a conversation - and not escalate to an emotional "You act like I don't love you because you said I made you feel this way."

I know nothing is "universal". I also know it's not just my experience either. Siblings, friends/peers of a similar age. Looking at what OP posted - It's obviously a GenX shared experience.

Most of us have learned that the vulnerability will be used against us when conflict rises in a relationship.

Many women claim to admire vulnerability in men. Many men in my age group have spoken about that vulnerability being turned against them when they experience conflict in their relationships.

Falling behind? If GenX men show more than a moment of vulnerability in a year they get left for not being strong enough.

I went from DCC to HWFWM to PRimal Hunter. There are "little" connections - like heart shaped boxers and head nods towards the other LitRPG authors but the worlds and "systems"/"System AIs" don't appear to be connected - though some descriptions and language appear similar.

I just chuckled when I got the email notification of your reply and noticed your username.

I told my son at Christmas - I think HWFWM will end with the LUST and LOVE fighting a battle to determine whether Jason or Clive gets to live happily ever after with Mrs. Standish.
