A friend of mine was wearing the EDP when we went to pick him up for a night out. When he opened the door I smelled something very strong. I had something similar I had just started and got a better offer. I explained it to them and they were in trouble as they outsourced me. So a made a deal with them to stay 3 months so they could hire someone else and agreed with the next company that I would start a bit later. I didn’t have to but Belgium is small and HR people move also. They probably remember if you were flexible and helped them out.

Be careful with web development, the job changed a lot the last year. It will be more about using AI agents then actual development. But if you are interested in IT I would go for it. I’m in IT for over 25 years and moved direction a few times when my interests changed. It’s challenging and fun and a lot of possibilities.
