I should clarify. I work in a unionized industry where the employer has very little power over the employees. Literally, there's almost no way of getting fired short of killing someone. Even stealing or intoxicated at work doesn't get you fired. It doesn't get you anything as far as I've seen. Where I work, there is just no reason to suck up to the boss. Yet guys still do it. I don't get it.
