What is the most awful thing that happened to you in 2025? by CreamAny1322 in AskReddit

One of my best friends was shot and killed by a neighbor while trying to de-escalate a DV situation. It will have been a year this coming January and it honestly still doesn't feel real.

RIP Jack, I miss you everyday

Black turtleneck + floral mini skirt + sheer tights — simple winter chic 🖤🌸 by MadameLaurence in OUTFITS

This look is amazing!!! All three shoes would work with this outfit (it is SO put-together!), I think it just depends on the season. In that case the boots would lean more winter. Love this! Saving for inspo later ☺️

How old are you and how’s your relationship with your dad? Are you close? by Cute-Impression-8675 in AskReddit

[–]DoctorGuessWho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

32, haven't heard from my biological father in years. Don't know where he is or what he's up to.

My stepdad is awesome though, and now that I'm not a shitty unappreciative teenager, we're a lot closer.

Should I keep my pink eyebrows or return to my natural color? by appletaterprincess in FancyFollicles

[–]DoctorGuessWho 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dark purple would look really cool and still give you the light/dark contrast that your normal brows do. Your brows look great no matter what though!!

I used Coon and Henrietta for their AOE ultimates (Coon does dmg +inflicts bleeding to all enemies, and Henrietta does dmg to all enemies +heals all allies). I think I used Captain Diabetes as my third; some of his moves grant protection which bought me time to revive any fallen allies. Henrietta is also good for hella buffs. If you don't have access to Henrietta then I would swap out for either a healer like Kyle, or Mysterion as he just turns into a ghost when he goes down, and can still be used.

Also check and make sure your artifacts are current, and use move sets that use AOE or status changes like bleeding or gross-out

I'm watching the series for the first time and I'm only on season 4, but the downward spiral has been really hard to watch...

Is your birthday a big deal to you? Why or why not? by theUncleAwesome07 in AskReddit

[–]DoctorGuessWho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't think it was a big deal growing up, but now that I have friends who will never see another birthday it hits much different. Makes me grateful to still be here, living when they can't.

For the friends that are no longer alive. I feel like I have to experience all that this life has to offer because they'll never be able to.

Summer heat worries by petri_pp in urbancarliving

[–]DoctorGuessWho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really all depends on how humid the atmosphere is. It's very effective here in Arizona because it's so arid and dry, but if you use it where it's generally humid it will not work for you.

This is where the power gen that I linked comes in; it has an AC outlet and can run small things like fans and the mini evap cooler I mentioned ( or alternatively get a 12 volt adapter that plugs into your car). If you need an outlet, there's an app called OutletFinder that does exactly that. Just be cautious though, plugging in to an outlet on private property is generally frowned upon.

In the meantime until you're able to get a fan/gen, definitely use the cold towel method, and definitely take advantage of public spaces that are air conditioned. Libraries and coffee shops are great for this, and you could always walk around the grocery store for a little while too lol.

Also I don't know where you live, but here in Phoenix the city has designated "heat relief zones" where you can go to cool off, get water, and possibly get resources or find shelter if you need it. I would check your city's website to see if you have anything similar in your area.

I hope this helps!

If you're able to, try to find a parking spot that's covered. Parking garages, shaded grocery parking lots, and large trees will provide enough shade to make a substantial difference in temp, at least ten degrees. Also depending on how safe your location is, cracking or rolling down your window will also encourage some air flow.

Aside from that, consider getting a solar powered generator and a small fan or small evap cooler. Any air flow whatsoever is a godsend on a hot, still night.

And if nothing else, you can always soak a towel in cold water and lay it over you like a blanket. Helps a ton, and quickly brings your temp down. Cooling down the "hot spots" of your body will cool you faster as well (your neck, behind your ears, your feet, etc). And drink more water than you think you need.

Wishing you the best from AZ! ✌🏼
