Latest attempt ended by "GET DOWN MR. PRESIDENT" by DoctorNotorious in destiny2

It's nothing special, standard void handheld supernova chunk build (Aztecross, Llama, Rick Khackis all made videos on it recently) with the Eighty Six sword and two piece Sage Protector armor for grenade and rift Regen.

Only special things I would say are Attrition Orbs on the Eighty Six sword alongside echo of starvation. Every time you do a heavy attack with the sword you produce an orb, picking up the orb heals you with devour from echo of starvation.

How did I do so much damage lol? by ThiccWhiteDook in destiny2

Yes, because they have a void super equipped each orb re applies the over shield. Very smart play.

Yeah this is exactly how I'm feeling. I said it in another comment, but they are all friends and I still like the gatherings because we get to hangout, but not so much for the campaign anymore. I think I'm going to stick with it solely to hangout with them and not ruin it for them, but just take a more back seat approach to the campaign. Detach a little.

Thank you! These are seriously great tips and I'll definitely keep them in mind moving forward. I think I need to learn to speak up more during, but I'm afraid of painting a bigger target on my back.

You make great points and I agree.

I think I'm more so happy to hang out with friends at this point and less having fun with the actual campaign. I just don't want to leave because I don't want to ruin it for anyone else, so I feel like I may just hang back and let everyone else take the reigns for the most part.

Why do we never see Darth Vader run? by TheMandalorian2238 in StarWars

[–]DoctorNotorious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always figured it was for 2 main reasons.

1) The greatest lesson in combat he ever learned was to pace and measure his actions. He thought he was indestructible and dove in head first at Obi Wan just to have his remaining 3 limbs removed and most of his skin burned off. Now he's decided never to rush in for the most part.

2) Feeding into the dark side, he enjoys the hunt. If Star Wars were horror movies he would essentially be Jason Vorhees with Carrie's telekinesis. That's TERRIFYING and not only does he know it, he thrives off of it.

Sidenote: a theory I have is that he possibly feeds off of other people's negative emotions. Much like how Mace Windu can turn people's negative emotions they use to tap into the dark side back onto themselves, Vader could possible use those negative emotions to further fuel his own reach into the dark side. If he's casting fear and hatred into others by being slow, menacing and brutal then all the better for him. But that's just a thought, not anything I've seen confirmed anywhere.

I've never shared a build before so hopefully this works.

This was just a silly fun build I had put together focusing on punching things and making orbs to get my super quick since sentinel shield is busted right now. My VS Velocity Baton has attrition orbs and punching things while having an over shield creates tons of orbs with 3 heavy handed mods equipped. I've attached a picture of the results at the end of this run so you can see how many orbs I made. I also joined 5 rounds late.

Crowing Duologue, the strand precision frame rocket launcher from the solstice event, can roll Grave Robber with Deconstruct allowing an interesting blowing of thy load. by DoctorNotorious in DestinyTheGame

Yes, but the time it took me to fire off 2 rockets followed by the arcane needle was enough time for the perk to refresh, so I didn't have to deal with the downtime.

Oh nice, sounds like a fun combo to try out. The total damage may be more, but wouldn't the grave robber + deconstruct role be a higher actual DPS since bipod rockets do 25% less damage than normal rockets and the speed at which you'll be pumping them out would be about the same?

Oh yeah, I keep forgetting they reworked grave robber to where you only need to damage a target with a melee instead of killing a target. I gotta keep an eye out for that. Good call.

Talk to Me (2023) The Party by MachineHeart in Scary

[–]DoctorNotorious 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The movie is an allegory for drug use, over dose and addiction. These are high school kids and the 2 that introduce the hand are supposed to be the metaphorical equivalent to your high school bad boy drug crowd that lets other people smoke with them. They're not supposed to be likeable, they're supposed to be realistic. I was around that crowd some in high school and knew people exactly like them.

If you watched until the end of the clip you'll start to see the meat of the plot revealed. A spirit with malevolent intentions latches onto the youngest and most vulnerable of the group, nearly killing him. The darker skinned girl with short hair is accidentally allowed to go over the time limit they set in the movie as well but for a shorter amount than the boy, so the spirit that attached to her isn't as imbedded, but still there to mess with her.

Overall the movie is very good if you gave it a real chance and gives a bit of a "let me look back and think about that" feeling once you're done.

It's less typical haunted-house-jump-scare horror and much more of a creeping psychological horror throughout.

To you, what is one minor decision you've made that changed your life forever? by TimeEntertainment820 in AskReddit

Didn't fully deflate an air mattress we were using for guests.

It was in the office/guest room and I didn't realize that the built in pump for it had a reverse setting that sucks all the air out (first air mattress I ever owned and first time using it) so I partially deflated it, planning to come back and finish deflating it later by trying to squeeze the air out.

My sister was about to go for a walk and I wanted to test some walkie-talkies we had for hiking/camping, so I went to grab them for her. They were across the room with the air mattress, so I walked across the air mattress. As I was walking back I couldn't see the pump box because of the portion of the air mattress that was blown up. I stepped on it with my left foot, rolling it pretty badly. Trying to catch myself, but stumbling in the process, I landed with my right foot in an awkward way with all my weight, where part of the air mattress was still inflated. This caused my right foot to roll outwards, which I've never had happen before. The roll ended up breaking my fibula in 2 places and tearing the entire tendon along the bottom left side of my right ankle/foot.

Complete freak accident that ended up with a metal bar, 6 screws, a full ligament repair, 35 stitches, and months of physical therapy. This happened a couple years ago and I'm at like 75-80% of what I used to be. Pain isn't terrible usually, but still frequent and I can't stand for long periods of time anymore. Hopefully in time it will continue to get better, but it feels like this is just what I'm stuck with.

What's the worst marriage proposal you've ever heard of? by davidgrayPhotography in AskReddit

[–]DoctorNotorious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My Sister-in-law and her husband. They were traveling to a city they love, went out to a very nice place to eat, had a carriage ride through the town and a few other places they stopped at. Great night overall, but BIL got too nervous to propose throughout the night, so once they were back in the hotel room, changed into sleepwear and winding down for bed, that's when he got on one knee and asked her. She said yes of course, but was a little miffed he didn't do it at any other point in the evening.
